They are not "transparent" about how illiquid they are until AFTER they receive your investment. Quite easy to deposit your money. You have to go through a protracted process (please see those stating that it has taken them up to six months) to redeem your shares and withdraw your money. Keep that in mind. The penalties for "redeeming your shares" are NOT posted in a visible area, if at all (I still have not located this statement). There is absolutely zero "real-time" customer service. Everything is via email, which is absolutely ridiculous. Requests to redeem *your* shares take at LEAST three months, with the qualifier "requests may be denied" attached. Think about that long and hard prior investing. On the app, you actually have to go hunting for the option to redeem your shares. This is also ridiculous. I find some of these reviews to be...interesting, especially those claiming to have seen returns this year. My returns, on a $12.5k investment? $28. The tut-tutting over those who experience life-altering events and need to redeem shares is annoyingly condescending. Not everyone has soft landing spots. For those of you who do NOT, I would highly advise against investing with Fundrise for the aforementioned reasons. I certainly would NOT recommend Fundrise to the Everyman. The abysmal lack of customer support is simply unforgivable.

I've been investing with Fundrise for the past 5 years and the returns have been more consistent than any other class of investments out there. I'm very happy with them.

I just started investing with Fundrise in January, it's now October. For all the skeptics, yes, you definitely make money. Remember, it's a marathon not a sprint. I was also able to cash out parts of my investments when I needed it. You do have to wait until the beginning of the quarter to redeem but that's how most investment platforms operate. I've read awful complaints on BBB but the people filing those don't seem to understand what investing actually is. Investing is long term and I would absolutely recommend Fundrise for anyone, ESPECIALLY beginners. They have a lot of helpful information and educational material as well. 5 stars all day from me.
