I want to say, "Asante Sana", again to Mr.Eliud Mbowe who helped me navigate the online Visa Application. I am a Mzee and am not too technologically adept. Mr. Mbowe was not only helpful, but very patient with me.

Nashukuru Sana! There are times to criticize and then there are times to praise. Even with my bad Swahili, the Embassy staff was helpful and patient. I've written a harsh review before - not out of hate but out of anger and disappointment. I can't wait to receive my passport, there is so much to do back home. Thanks a lot.

Dear Tawna, thank you for writing to us. Due to existing agreements between the Tanzania and US, American citizens can only apply for multiple entry visa. Karibu sana Tanzania.

The recommended time is at least 6 months. You email the Ta zanian embassy for more information. They're very efficient in email communication.
It definitely helps more if you have an email or two of the workers there, that way you get to stay in contact with them daily. That's what I did when I renewed my passport. Had every step knocked down in 2019 couldn't go for biometrics till may 3rd this year. But I was in constant communication and some help fill you in on the status of your application.
He will get when arrival Tanzania

There are a few, and depends on what you've had before, plus where and when you plan to travel. Plus you may consider a malaria prophylactic. I recommend Travelers Medical Clinic https://www.travelersmedical.com/

See their website. It has the information. I got a Tanzanian visa recently. I went on a Tuesday and there was no wait. I had to shell out $17 for parking and the submission took only few minutes. If you can, take metro or uber.
