I have lived in the Envoy Apartments Community for more than one year and I really like it here. I enjoy every night its fitness center and penthouse with its wonderful Washington DC view. In this regard, I would like to recognize the excellent cleaning service that Yolanda and Benjamin provide every night at the Penthouse. They are very nice staff members and work a lot to maintain the Envoy Penthouse and its amenities clean and glamorous the seven days of the week.

I thoroughly enjoyed living at the Envoy. Super convenient location right between Adams Morgan and Columbia Heights. The nightlife and restaurants in AdMo and the shopping and food scene in Columbia Heights made this a superb location. Malcolm X park right across the street was also a major plus. The units themselves were not super spacious but I never felt cramped (I'm a minimalist anyway). The amenities were great. Modern clubhouse, rooftop, and two gyms. The leasing staff was friendly and I never lost a package here. I'd highly recommend. The residents here were also really cool.

Two weeks ago, I had a conversation with a new tenant who said she never wants to move from here. I agree, I never want to move either. The Envoy really does feel like home. Everybody here especially those who work here, take great pride in their work and do a good job. The office is very responsive, and the concierge for all shifts, really watch the building and they even make sure you're safe when you're walking your dog late at night. Christian, our full-time concierge, really really does a great job at making us feel like we're special here and we're all just people. I have witnessed her give her own ice cream to a tenant who had her dog pass at home in Colombia. Just last week, she spent more than an hour watching the exterior cameras to help someone locate a dog who got away from his leash. I should add that the Envoy is probably the most culturally diverse and exciting place to live. The people who live here are nice and there are a lot of social activities created by management or neighbors who decide they just want to watch a fun TV program together. The exercise rooms face south and are surrounded by glass. They give you a full view of downtown Washington, the monuments, and a slice of Northern VA. People are always concerned about package delivery no matter where they live. The Envoy has a very organized system in terms of accepting packages and having a way for tenants to easily return their packages. They also provide hand trucks (dying to be painted) for you to roll your boxes up to your unit and then return those trucks for other neighbors to have the same luxury. I've really never seen this myself prior to moving here and I think it's just a nice amenity. The only thing that needs to be changed immediately, is the flooring in the concierge team space, in terms of cleanliness especially around the swing door. Retiling in the very special way the shipping elevator was retiled, would be in order. It would also eliminate all eye sores. The quality of that floor should match or come close to the beauty of our glorious marble floor in our lobby. That's my only reason for the absence of one star.

Hostile, unprofessional and incompetent leasing office following unfair leasing practices. Would not recommend!!

I am thinking about moving in into Envoy apartments. But the main thing that concerns me is mice/rat issue I read about in so many reviews. did the management ever considered changing their pet policy. Allowing cats would solve the issue quickly.
