My primary care is going downhill fast ! Through secure messaging begining 09/28, I have asked my primary care doctor of pact team 4 at the GB Clinic to call my Giant pharmacy to renew my blood pressure meds. It's been almost 2 weeks, 4 secure messages, 2 replies from nurses and I've not had meds for almost a week!!! There is no way to contact by voice... Phones aren't answered and can't leave message for Pacteam. Called customer advocate line last week.. no return call!!!! People at VA GB clinic apparently don't give a hoot about Vets !

On site care is stellar, contacting the clinic by phone is an absolute failure at all times. Most of the phone options send you to the Baltimore campus. The "speak to a primary team member" option goes dead, with no voice mail after 12 rings. The "speak to a nurse" option goes to a voicemail that is not set up, thus no messages are taken.

The VA system is terrible. If you're sick and want to be seen you have to go to the ER and wait there because a scheduled appointment is 30-90 days out from the day you called. SMDH

I've been calling for the past year to try for a referral, nothing. Option 4 is effectively fake and a waste of time.

No, but you can bring your prescriptions from a non-VA provider to show your VA primary care provider. Your VA primary care provider will then determine the appropriate medications to fill from the VA Pharmacy Formulary. To schedule an appointment with your VA primary care provider, call (410) 605-7333.
