DC hot air balloon festival was fun!
Gordana Richardson
We were there at Hot Air Baloon event which was an incredible rip-off. They charge 20 $ to get in and you get basically nothing. The kids play zone was not secured, they literally had those air filled bounce houses not tied to the ground. Some kids in Australia died when the strong wind blew and lifted the houses up in the air so, you would think that hot air balloon event would take that seriously no? They even had a guy make sure your child pays 20$ to get in the bounce house, but they didn't bother securing them or make sure kids over age limit don't get in and hurt smallwr kids. Anyways, never again. Absolutely horrendous event!

3 weeks before the fair opens you go on that Saturday you fill out a registration form with your name and address and at what time you arrived at at what department you want to help at if you arrive before 9:00 am you get a free lunch ticket and you don't sign out until you finish eating that you go home. If you don't want to get ssl hours you can just go to get volunteer hours you need 200 hours to go in free for life it's either one or the other I prefer my kids to get the volunteer hours and for them to go somewhere else to get their ssl hours you can start at 13 years old to volunteer and if you have younger siblings they can join also.
Tuesday August 4 from 10 to 5. Free buses available in parking lot at Lakeforest Mall.
Hi! Every vendor is different, many accept credit cards. We also have ATM's on the Fairgrounds! We hope you enjoy the Fair!

Don't remember seeing bingo. Google the Montgomery County Fair, go to website, and see there
They close at 12am & ticket prices vary depending on the amount of tickets you want but you could get a $25 wristband that allows you to get on all rides and the wristband expires when the fair closes.
There are entry forms in the fair catalog. You can get it here http://mcagfair.com/exhibitors/fair-catalog/
$10 on line, $12 at the gate. Parking is extra. Go to Lake Forest Mall and ride the free shuttle
Tuesday I should add, that my understanding is that seniors that arrive after 5pm have to pay. At the risk of sounding cheap.
I'm not the event planner. Sorry. 😔
Service animals and exhibit animals only; no pets.
Last day was today but the Frederick fair is next week I believe
The Fairgrounds isn't really much open until the Carnival actually opens, on behalf that i actually work for the Carnival i can tell you that we will be opening today at 1pm and will most likely not be closing till midnight. After that the Carnival will be open from 12pm to 12am everyday.
I can say with certainty that it opens by 9 am at the latest, with about 80-90% of the vendors set up. I have been on both Saturday and Sunday, and three weekends in a row, so it is open every Saturday and Sunday as far as I can tell.
Somewhere in August

Are there wheelchairs available?
Can use credit card for entrance. Buy through the website to save $2 per ticket. Most attractions take credit cards.
Not sure of the cost but you also pay for parking even with disability tags. Best thing ti do is park at Lakeforest Mall where the County prvides free buses to and fro to the Fair. Also Tuesday, Aug. 14 is Senior Day free for all Senios from 10 to 5.
Today and tomorrow open at 3:00pm and rest of the days open from 10am-12mid
Well depends if you're at the fair or if it's a carnival you would have to check it out online other net tell Paula I said hello
Yes but it's best to go to Lake Forest Mall Parking area where County Buses take you to the area where its easiest to use a wheelchair. The general parking lots are on grass and gravel.
