VERY friendly volunteer staff. They love what they're doing, and it shows. Enjoyed our visit very much. Want to fish? Bring your permit!

I would have never stopped here but my friend wanted to stop and I wasn't driving. So happy I visited. The Volunteer that greeted us was very friendly and I learned so much. The NFH was started in 1950 to improve the fish population along Snake River. The emphasis is to continue raising native cut throat trout. Sleeping Indian Pond located on the grounds where you can fish for free but must have a fishing license. It is catch and release but are allowed 1 fish to take home. Definitely would return.

A pleasant side adventure in Jackson, Wy. Fascinating to hear and see the life cycle of the cut throat trout. Stan was knowledgeable about the facility and journey of this native species of fish.

Poor signage, walk down a long winding path, was greeted by a friendly man who gave me a run-down of the place. I could not go in to see the hatchery bc I didn't have a mask with me. Really!? The fish are going to catch a virus from a healthy person?🤔🙄
