I have been calling for days and the recorded message comes up to press 1 for directory listing and 2 for passport. Pressing any of the numbers takes you back to the recorded message. I am so frustrated trying to contact the passport division to change my interview date.

I want everyone to understand the process because Nigeria embassy is a pain. Fill form online, print both application form and the innovation acknowledgment form. When you arrive at NY, find their OIS office, go there and print your payment slip, $4/form. If you have kids, fill a consent form at the embassy, attach to the application form, payment slip, photocopied passport page of both parents. No money order. Pay online or pay using debit card at OIS office.

Get an emergency travel visa and go to Nigeria for your passport renewal. If you are US citizen, get a visa and travel to Nigeria to resolve it.

Well, I eventually was able to get an appointment after visiting the consulate website... I first applied online in March 2021 and got the appointment in June but earliest interview date being October 21st 2021. My appointment time is 9am but website says the consulate is not open until 10am on Thursday.

They are open everyday but will only attend to you if you have an appointment and you have call to confirm your appointment.moreso if you get there very early you can talk to one of there attendance quickly so they can squeeze you in lol hope you understand

Just got mine as well in Naija house in NY. Apply for new passport online. . And do the police report then go to the embassy for submission add the copy of the lost passport. The rest is at the embassy but trust me you will get your passport in two to three working days.

Don’t really get you. I renewed mine though, went for capturing on the 23rd of last month and paid to expedite it with a self addressed priority mail envelope was told it will take 7 days but it took a month.

I don't know how close to your travel date you applied but the visa office would have told you at the point of applying that they do not expedite visa process. I went through the same process and was told upfront that I will receive my passport after two weeks. I planned a month before my travel date.

Negative Covid PCR test within 72 hours and i think they also want you to get another one when you arrive. Plus you have to complete a form with the test information (that can be accessed on their site). But regulations are changing often so I would check on their site closer to your date of travel

They've open. But you need to book an appointment. I was there till late on Wednesday 10/28/2020, if your issue happens to be about passport. Please book appointment because they'll not allow you in the building and it's cold seriously

Irrespective of status, one must have certificate of authentication from Nigeria Embassy in US, certifying such, Covid-19 free. This document will be presented either as soft or hard copy at the point of entry.

There's a Nigerian embassy in New York. Mass is close to new york. I think you have to go in person to get the visa. After which you'll be asked to come back for it or it can be mailed to you.
