Neat little place right by Fort Monroe overlooking the water. Was busy even on Tuesday evening that we had to wait 15 minutes for a table. There is a bar where you can get drinks while you wait. The food was good. We got the crab dip for the table as appetizer and it was really good. I got the blackened crab cake (which was recommended as opposed to pan fried). The crab cake was a little too charred for my taste but that was only in the surface. The crab cake was ok, the crab dip was really good. My colleague got crab stuffed salmon and really liked it. Overall neat little place to go and have some food.

Service was great - Katie was awesome! We were celebrating a 90th Birthday! The elevator was out of commission and we had an 85 and a 90-year old in our party. Other customers in restaurant went above and beyond to say "Happy Birthday" and to assist with maneuvering the steps. There are still kind people in this world. And food was delicious! My first time visiting, but won't be my last.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. Even though it was freezing cold and raining on the outside, it was warm and inviting on the inside! The servers were attentive and welcoming and the food was amazing. We got two appetizers (calamari and seafood nachos) because I wanted to try as much as I could lol. For the entrée I had the crab stuffed salmon and my husband had the shrimp basket. I really really enjoyed the asparagus and baby potatoes. The batter on the shrimp and calamari was light and seasoned to perfection. We will definitely return. 10 out of 10

The Big Fish sandwich is not to be missed when going to Deadrise. I think the fish is flounder. It's flaky, fresh, and huge. I've had it several times, and the fish is always almost double the size of the Hawaiian bread bun. I get the $5 cheap beer with shot and my meal is complete. I highly recommend Deadrise.

Reservations are not necessary, but not the biggest of places. As previously suggested, make a call to see what the table availability looks like.
Not per se, but gluten easily avoided
Per the Governors order, masks are required (and provided) upon entry. Tables are spaced out at least six feet and we ask that all customers respect personal space. Our staff is masked and we offer hand sanitizing stations in the restaurant. Feel free to call with any further questions. Thank you for your interest.
Dock C is designated for restaurant patrons.
I have been a loyal customer here since they opened and I absolutely LOVE it! The entire lower (outdoor) level is dog friendly. Food is served in all designated dining areas outside.
To the best of my knowledge, every hour is happy hour. I've never left there and not been happy.
Year round
There is an elevator that you can take on the first floor that will take you upstairs
It changes rapidly. A lot of market driven dishes. If you want real seafood go there.
