Best decision I've made to get my hernia surgery done with Dr. Gillespie, he is very humble, sincere and gives you the confidence that you are in great hands and everything is going to be ok.

I had put off surgery to repair a hernia for as long as I could. I it delayed in part because I felt like it wasn’t that bad and my other reason is that I had 2 friends who had unfavorable results, one was almost fatal. I had procrastinated as long as I could (3yrs). What changed my mind? Finding Dr Gillespie. All of the positive reviews aren’t hype, he is the real deal. From my initial appointment to my post opp follow up, he was as thorough and competent as I could have hoped for. He addressed all of my concerns and put me at ease. I only wish I would have known of Dr Gillespie sooner.

previous inguinal open repair has failed surgery 22 years ago is the only option laparoscopic surgery? will that have any adverse effects on intestines or bladder issues in the future

Typically with a failed open (anterior) approach we use a laparoscopic (posterior) approach to stay away from scar tissue. However if a patient prefers an open approach for a redo hernia repair we have the opportunity to tailor the surgery to your needs.

If someone has inguinal and femoral hernias is it acceptable to remove hydraceles and varicoceles without fixing the hernias?? (Experiencing pain during urination and bowel movements)

Typically a hydrocele is removed at the time of a hernia repair. Varicoceles typically are unrelated to hernias though they are in proximity to a hernia repair. -Tom
