I delivered my baby girl at Banner Desert on September 30 after a high risk situation led me to need induction and eventually a c section for baby’s safety. All of the hospitalists in the Phoenix Perinatal Associates group gave me and my baby the utmost in quality care. I have no doubt that their diligence and expertise saved my baby’s life. I especially want to thank Dr. Geer for her excellence in performing my surgery and Dr. Redden Greer for giving me so much attention. The doctors visited me, gave me their time, went over my options and treated me with professionalism and compassion. The nurses in labor and delivery and in couplet care (post partum) were the best! They took care of us, helped us to stay calm, and helped me get a good start by teaching me so many things! I will never forget the love, compassion, and skill of my Banner doctors, nurses, surgical team, and all of the staff. They made a very difficult birth experience truly beautiful. Words are not enough to express my gratitude. I only with I could list every single nurse, staff and tech who cared for us because they were all amazing. Thank you always from the bottom of my heart.

I had an outpatient procedure done at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ. My experience was wonderful. The staff reassured me that I was in good hands and they were 100% correct. I highly recommend this hospital. Thank you, Banner Desert!

Staff was rude and uncaring. Only two people out of the 7 I interacted with were kind. The nurse I had was also very rude to my husband, he completely disregarded him when he was asking him questions and when he finally did answer he just said “I don’t know” and left. I also saw a nurse speaking badly about a patient she had just talked to as soon as the door closed. Other registration staffed looked bothered that I was asking them a question about how to get my keys to my husband who was told he could no longer wait with me as I was taken out of the room I was in and put in a different area to sit and wait for my results. I was finally discharged my arm wouldn’t stop bleeding after the IV was removed and the nurse said “it will be fine” and added another piece of tape. I had to get it changed out by a nurse in registration because it was soaked in blood. This is by far the WORST experience I have ever had at Banner.

COME GET ROBBED. Took my stepdad to the emergency room because he couldn't bare the pain in his lower abdomen. Saw a doctor for 20 minutes, prescribed him pills. $10,000+ JUST FOR THAT.

Yes, at the main entrance there is an interactive map and directory. I am also in the process of linking the floor map to this Google Map location.
Not sure why Government is not taking any strict action against this hospital. It's a shame.
Visiting hours are over at 8 pm. 2 visitors in the room at a time
Hospitals either value people or they value money
Until 8pm
Honestly, they'll allow visitors to come and go whenever as long as you're not being loud & disruptive. Been admitted here many times and it's the same every time.
Even if free....don't do it! They mix COVID and non COVID people right on the same wing.
It depends on what you're in the hospital for. You could end up with separate bills. The hospital bill, radiology bills & doctors bills etc. Some things do have set amounts but if your stay is unusual you could pay more. You can call the hospital finance department or a patient navigator or just tell the operator you want an estimate of what your bill might be. If you don't have health insurance & qualify for medicaid they will help you sign up. Most hospitals have programs called charity care to help peoplewith their bill. They will also work with you on a payment plan. Your monthly payment amount can be negotiable. If you make a payment of a lesser amount one month & they accept it, that can be your new monthly payment. Even if it's $5. It becomes a contract bc they accepted the payment. Hospitals can't refuse giving you care. Unless it's a stay that is unnecessary or elective. If you end up not being able to pay, medical bills are usually overlooked on credit reports.
605- and then patient ID
To you in bed. May be a fall risk.
10am to 6pm, 1 visitor
Discharge happens when your doctor or doctors agree that you are ready to be discharged. If the doctor doesn't come see you he/she will instruct your charge nurse to initiate the proper paperwork and any doctor's instructions for aftercare and possible follow-up appointments.
As a courtesy I phoned medical center and asked customer service if the norm is doctors office orders and you are contacted to schedule. John thought that probably correct but transferred me to scheduling with a 19 minute wait. I would check with the doctor or medical group. You can also call scheduling to learn if appointment required and if referral from doctor is required. I then called Honor who said there you can do a walkin as long as you have the doctors order. My weak guess is Banner is the same.
Never heard of this
Hi Lorie, thank you for reaching out to Banner Health. This depends on the nursing unit. There may be a few restrictions depending on the circumstances. Please contact Banner Desert directly for further assistance. Thank you.

Hi Aurelia, Thank you for your question. You may pick up a copy of your medical records located at our HIMS department. Our front desk volunteers will be happy to direct you to the correct location.
Huh
I'm not really sure, but maybe call the 1800 nurse. The number is 602-747-7990. I'd guess they know where to send you.
Yeah, it seems as though I do. I called em and was helped right away and no notes about ins.company.
Where does one go to view a dead body.?
They do offer payment plans but urgent care would be a lot cheaper for you.
No, don't worry. They seem to disrespect everyone equally. No one gets treated like a human being here
Medical records department on the first floor
Not sure. There are a large number of side doctors and clinics in one of the 3 side buoldings in the same complex as the hospital. I think there is an EVDI imaging place in this complex.
You have to leave it at the front desk.
