I had an exceptional visit. I know people don't necessarily enjoy going to the dr or whatever but the people that work at this urgent care are an awesome group. From the front desk, nurses and doctors I was very well taken care of. Thank you all!

Their door was unlocked, and I walked in at 7:58am. Nobody was at the front desk, but a lady in the back saw me and promptly/curtly told me they weren't open yet (fine, lock the door?). I asked if I could sit, as I am VERY sick, and she said that no one was allowed on premises until they opened (Seriously? Two minute difference?). In the time it took me to walk back to my car not only were they open, but an elderly gentleman had pulled in and got to the door before I could, subsequently "cutting" me in line. Not that I'm blaming him. Anyhow the woman that kicked me out proceeded to tell him that it might be a long wait depending on how many online reservations there were. He responded by saying the last time he actually had an online reservation he ended up waiting TWO HOURS! He asked what was the point of making an online reservation, if that was the case. Her only response was that the people that didn't have an online reservation had to wait even longer. Sounds mismanaged to me, so I left and went to NextCare down the road.

I made an appointment for 5:30 pm to have an open wound treated. A P.A. called me back, asked me what happened, assisted in removal of shoes and socks. He looked at the wound and prepared the area. Took my vitals and told me the doctor would be right in. Shortly, she entered, took a look at the wound, asked me how I had been treating it. She told me what she was going to do and what my responsibility would be going forward. She treated the wound and bandaged the area. She left me with patient instructions, copy of prescriptions sent electronically to my pharmacy. Also gave me a Patients Education of taking care of cuts scrapes. Thank you to the doctor and her staff. An excellent visit. It's somewhat intimidating going to an Urgent Care, however they made me feel very welcome. I left feeling well taken care of. 🙂
