We planned to celebrate with friends and decided to lodge here per a recommendation. Our party of 6 (3 rooms) stayed three nights. The valet team was kind, informative, and efficient. The checkin staff was thorough. We had an issue with our room and the manager assisted us with a room change. The rooms were clean, the penthouse level rooms offered spectacular views, and the hotel is quirky. The lounge level bartender staff recognized us and greeted us, even when we were not stopping in for a drink. Our only problem was that we were constantly being stopped and asked if we had reservations to access the rooftop. Numerous individuals walked into the hotel, however; upon observation, we were the only group stopped when entering the side door or getting off the rooftop elevator. I recommend this hotel because it is a beautiful building. In fact it’s the first fire containing/fire proof building in Richmond. I hope that the staff’s keen awareness to minority groups was just a fluke.

I found a bedbug in my room. The staff was very accommodating and let me know a manager was going to contact me. I have not heard from management and this is very disappointing. I was there for a work meeting and had to change rooms the morning of our first meeting. It’s unacceptable that no one has contacted me and says a lot about the leadership. It’s a beautiful hotel and does have great reviews but having bedbugs and not addressing the issue is the reason I don’t recommend staying at the Quirk.

It’s a quaint hotel. It’s old school with some modern designs. What I didn’t like about the hotel is that there are wood floors in the rooms as well as outside of the rooms and at night the noise from people walking in the halls sounded like they were walking inside of your room. The floor creaked and squeaked all night and it’s jarring to sleep thinking someone is walking in your room. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I ordered food and wasn’t impressed at all. It’s like when people try to do to much and ruin the entire meal. It was just a salad that they ended up ruining. It’s located in the perfect place. A lot of restaurants surrounding that are in walking distance. There is Valet parking. The rooms are spacious. Staff was very attentive. The bed was comfortable.

What an awesome hotel! A boutique, artsy hotel in a beautiful old, historical Richmond department store building. Nicely done comfortable rooms (original old hardwood floors, beds built from the old department store wooden display racks, funky art everywhere), a great rooftop bar (one of Richmond's first!), a good lobby bar ...both with excellent staff, and a very good restaurant ....all in the heart of downtown Richmond ...walking distance to many attractions, restaurants, and bars! Definitely the place to stay if you're visiting RIC.

They do, multiple conference rooms, most all have AV support, and fashionably designed.
Yes, starts at 5 pm.
You can when you stay at Quirk. It is very convenient with the stay and the parking situation of the building in downtown Richmond.
