So Spring Creek Park does have a river/Creek running through the very back of it. But I think you would be hard pressed to catch anything in it. It's not monitored at all and heavely wooded where you will be fishing so no one will bother you if you wanna keep a fish or two.
This is an excellent question! Approximately, how far apart are the tent sites, please? Thank You, J S
All camping is free, there is a limit on how long you can stay, and you have to make a reservation. Great place to camp.
Yes there is am area with limited tent sites and some RV sites which are first come first serve. The sites are free and you can stay up to 7 nights but you need to book online
Only hiking trails. Great park for the family though. Worth the visit especially at sunset!
Should go ahead and keep a fishing license handy it is a county-run park
Yes they have a reservation form on their website. There are many different fields to hold a wedding.
No
Unable to help here
Maybe on the walking trails, especially near the creek
There are two showers. One next to the basketball court which closes nightly and one with a code for overnight camping.
I'm not actually sure but I can find out tomorrow possibly. I know you can reserve the pavilion but not sure about the sports areas
Parking is all labeled. The best place would be there loop on the north side of the park.
Whenever you want really. Sometimes it's busy in the evening... But its a big court
Yes, any of the available activities will require you to have your own equipment. Also, I can't quite remember what their rules are concerning age requirements / restrictions.
Yes, the trails are still a pleasure to walk. They are always working to ensure areas access is permitted, continue to remain accessible for park goers.
Yes
Yes on the sites that are available
Free for up to 7 days with a reservation. Requests made at http://apps.hctx.net/pct4Map/camping_form.aspx
No res required. Get there early to stake out your area.
Looking for a definative answer please. No guesses. Like someone who has other state tags who has stayed there. Thanks!
Near the pond
No
I don't see why not,but you can always call to make sure.
But you must make a reservation 14 days in advance.
We stayed there a few months ago. Full hookups with 50A, free for 7days during a month time frame, reservation required. Nice green park area surrounding. Would definitely return.
I don't think that it is a state park. It is a county park precinct 4.
Spring Creek Park is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
Or call the county at the number on the pct 3 parks website.
Yes you are. That is how they keep campers safe
Yeah but you have to call and make reservations
Yes
There is a fee for over night camping.
My father just shared some fond memories from back in the late 1950's about spending summers swimming and playing there with his family and friends along side the boy scout troops that earned their badges there. Him, his 6 siblings, friends and family would swim in an open area off the creek, which is no longer there unfortunately, swimming in the creek is not allowed anymore. Perhaps it has something to do with the rather large alligators they have caught there in the past. This was also a regular stop for some of the Trail Riders that came through Tomball/Magnolia area. I also grew up here and my kids have enjoyed this park, many great memories. Spring Creek park is one of the nicest parks in North Houston. A free park with a healthy natural environment combined with amenities like the 2 age ranked play structures for the children, a large Pavillion with lots of sitting for a large gathering, 3 bathrooms buildings, a tennis court as well as a new (free) Archery range.
