Karen Yarbrough needs to go. There’s zero management of employees like the clown of a security guard — guy with long braids — opens the door, stares without saying anything for and announces: “I’m closed”‼️ As if anybody was there for him. It was 3:45 pm the office closes at 5. When I told him this he lied saying close time on the web was “an IT problem” but he then opened the door. I got in line with 3 others. Then his partner, the female, shouted from behind to “GO TO WINDOW 9!” misdirecting me to vital records. As I walked across to Deeds on the opposite side, the same ignorant female security loudly shouted “WHERE YOU GOIN”. “WHACHA NEED GIRL”. I asked who she was talking to and she rared back and ignorantly said “WHEW CHILE”. Most employees were talking very loud and visiting each other so much so that I could not hear the person who waited on me. She asked them to quiet down. I asked to speak to a manager and was sent to room 230 where another uncooperative security guard would not provide a manager’s name and kept looking at his phone while I waited 20 minutes. He finally went back to the first floor and brought out a Gabriel Fakhouri who assured me I would be contacted. I wasn’t. The City’s wasting tax dollars when 75% of a room of more than 50 employees can be that rude, unprofessional, loud and idle. The waste needs to be eliminated and maybe then they’ll appreciate the jobs we pay them to do.

How much it cost to get deeds
All research is done in person
Each county in Illinois has a different pricing structure for recording a deed. In Cook County it is $50 for the first 2 pages, and then, $2 for each additional thereafter.
Quitclaim deeds may be purchased from stationary stores. And if the property was passed to a Trust, you don't have to file anything.
Yes. If you're looking for deeds, liens, etc. recorded in Cook County; you can find them at the Recorder of Deeds website. If you're looking for recent transactions; it may not show up yet due to the Recorder's office being backlogged from the quarantine.
You need a lawyer to prepare a new deed
Up to 10 property identification numbers and legal descriptions per document, with an additional $2 recording charge per pin and another $2 per additional legal description.
You can visit cookrecorder.com, click on search public records and then enter in your 14-digit PIN to review all property records dating back to October 1st, 1985.
1242 W 109th Place
It depends on the city or village that the property is located in, and whether it is a deed which involved money being exchanged, or no money.
Unlike car loans, your bank does not keep your deed. You should have the original recorded deed. Copies of deeds dating back to roughly 1985 can be obtained through the Cook County Recorder's website. You don't really need it, though - that is the whole point of recording the deed! You should, however, be sure that the release of mortgage has been recorded. Your lender should send it to the county to be recorded, but that doesn't always happen (sometimes they will send it directly to you). If the release is not recorded, you will have to jump through some extra hoops when you go to sell the house to prove that the mortgage has been paid.
To register $100
I am sorry , I do not know the answer to your question
You have to wait at least 3 months after you pay off your mortgage to pick up your Deed and there's a charge of $55.
Yes
If they property is located in Cook County, then The Recorder of Deeds" office is where you should find the instructions.
What is the fee for recording a deed
Ouit claim Deed.
Everlyn, there should be a recorders office in each of the court districts if you live in the suburbs. Im not sure if the outlying offices are open because of Covid. If you live in the city then in the county building downtown. They for sure will be able to help you.
The bank should send it to you or the bank should send you a document that confirms your mortgage has been fully paid. Once you have that document you can go to the recorder of deeds and give them a copy and fill out a form and they will order it for you.
Through the secretary of state's office
Must be mailed in to the Recorder's office with a check to them in the amount of $53.00. Be sure to have the "Return To" info filled out. You can place that on rhe bottom of the second page (or attach a?short note). Checks or money orders are accepted. I would recommend sending by priority mail with a tracking number ($7.50) and no signature required upon receipt to be sure they receive it. Wait at least 2 months for it to be returned to you. Hope that helps! I did all this successfully myself. Mailing address is: Cook County Recorder of Deeds: Recording Division; 118 N. Clark St., Room 120; Chicago, IL 60602 (Use Room 228 for priority mail). Phone: 312-603-5050
Record a "Quit Claim Deed" but it depends on the circumstances of why it's being changed. Did someone die? Is the property going into or out of a trust? There are many variables
You're asking a vague question but I think you are probably in the need of a "Quit Claim Deed" call the recorder of deeds and the can better hone in on what exactly you mean and are trying to acomplish.
Go in person in the basement and follow the chain of title back to the original deed. Bring your PIN and any other valua le info you have such as previous owners etc. They will look it up in the books.

It depends on the city/village/town. Each municipality requires their own requirements, you can find the list of all municipalities on the Recorders website under the forms tab. You will then select the form named Transfer Tax by Municipality - Updated 3.2018. That list shows all of the municipalities which require a transfer stamp and what is necessary to obtain it. If you tire of attempting to complete the process on your own, or, would like for a law firm to assist and complete the process on your behalf, please feel free to contact us www.lawofficesofmarioareed.com. Best of luck whatever you decide.
Dear Sue Ellen Foley, Here in Cook County, residential plats of survey are not filed with any office unfortunately. Accordingly, if you don't have the original one which was tendered to you at closing as a part of your closing paperwork, then you will have to have a new one commissioned. They typically run $495 for a staked survey and $350 for a non-staked survey. If you would like a referral to such a surveyor, please feel free to visit our website of www.lawofficesofmarioareed.com for our contact information and we would be more than happy to assist. Best of luck and hopefully you yet have the original one.
The property owner does NOT need to be present, and the cost to record as of 9.13.2019 is $98. If you ever have additional questions or are in need of assistance please feel free to visit www.lawofficesofmarioareed.com.
A Notice of Death Affidavit is the second part of the Residential Transfer on Death Instrument process which notifies the public that a property owner is now deceased and the named beneficiary has accepted the transfer of the property. If you would like assistance with filing such a document, please feel free to contact our firm and we will be happy to assist www.lawofficesofmarioareed.com.
That information is typically on the most real estate listing of the property. If you cannot locate it online you can request a Realtor research it via the MLS.
Need a quitclaim deed transferring ownership in the property from your name individually to you and your wife as tenants by the entirety. Cost to record a deed in Cook County is currently $98 I'd recommend working with an attorney to make sure the deed is drafted and executed properly.
Marvin is correct
You have to file a lawsuit in court and win the case. Once the judge rules in your favor, you then receive a "judgment" which may be recorded with the Recorders office. You may not have the person's driver's license suspended, and the IRS has no role in it. However, once the judgment is recorded, it will be reported to the three credit bureaus, so it will adversely affect her or his credit rating.
That process is done through the Cook County Assessor's Office, specifically the Consolidation and Divisions Department. You'll have to commission a new survey, and it takes approximately a year or so to complete the updated process. There is more info at cookcountyassessor.com under the Divisions link.
Re record and let them know why. It's a correction of title.
They don't report to credit bureaus, but they are the Public Record, so credit bureaus routinely search their records. You may search them at cookrecorder.com by performing a Grantor/Grantee Search, and then entering the first and last name.
Yes
No, you have to commission a plat of survey which will usually cost between $350 and $550. You can contact a licensed surveyor to prepare one for you..
Quit Claim deed. $50.00 for the first two pages and $2 a page thereafter. Along with a grantor/grantee page costing $4
You need to have a deed in trust prepared, as well as several other supplemental documents. It is not required of you to have an attorney, but it is definitely to your advantage, as you likely do not know how to do so on your own.

You can take hiss interest off on the property by doing a Quit Claim Deed but keep in mind if the property is within the city of Chicago you need to prepare your transfer declarations online and your Water Certifications online too, once everything is prepared and recorded you than have total interest inn the property.
1st find the the pin number in the Assessor's office rm 301 than go to the Recorder of Deeds office Rm120 lower level tract dept to research who may have owned the property. Please keep in mind that you may need a legal description to research farther back than 1985 because digital information is from the present date to the year 1985 just in case nothing was done due to the fact that the property may have been vacant for so long.
