My mother was recently transferred there for rehab, they told her she would be held in isolation for 2 weeks before being transferred to the rehab unit because she won't take the covid vac, she was just tested for it at the hospital 3 days ago, they put her in an area where the equipment is out of date. The a/c isnt working, no bed rails (she almost fell out last night) a nurse that made her get up on the hip that was just replaced, no snacks, only weak lemonaide for them to drink, tv didnt work till she pointed out it wasn't plugged in... i will be reporting this home and going for a transfer on monday. I went to see her today and this is what i found in her room

We wanted to express a huge thank you and let you all know how amazing the staff is at Springfield villa. We never expected this level of love and care my mother received from any nursing facility. We could tell my mother loved all the people as if they were family. It made a huge difference in our life knowing mom was happy there. She lived her best life at Springfield Villa's Memory care ward and her end-of-life care during this time of Covid comforted us with the staff's daily communication and their striving to complete Mom and our wishes. We feel blessed to have let Mom live out her final years at Springfield Villa. Shirley Mudd's Children, Paul, Michelle, Sheila, Art

Well where do I start it’s very unorganized they’re always needing help but yet never call you back after you’ve done an interview and everything so that’s why they have no help very unorganized and very unprofessional

My girlfriend used to work there... from the stories she told me, I would NEVER put a family member here. They are neglectful, rude, and the CNA’s are overworked. She was left on halls alone and wasn’t even certified yet, which I’m pretty sure is illegal. She would come home in tears because of how awful the residents were treated and also how awful the nurses treated her. They were incredibly rude. Do NOT PUT YOUR FAMILY HERE. IT NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN
Not really
I have been in the medical equipment business for nearly 25 years and worked in very, very many nursing homes. Springfield Villa is - without a doubt - the worst managed facility I have ever seen. I have personally witnessed abuse of residents and family by administration, the Administrator, whose name is not worthy of public memtion, told me to my face that she intended to make sure there would be no transparency when I confronted her regarding abuse perpetrated on me and muliple others by their hormonaly imbalanced Social Worker. Medical staff are frustrated by staffing shortages and the abuses seeming encouraged by both the administrator and assistant administrator. You ask if you can trust your family member to these folks? There are at least 3 state investigations on going now - 2 initiated by me, I am proud to say. Get your family out of there now if care about them at all!
