Beautiful smaller state Park. Quiet... At least on weekdays. Swimming area and splash pad for kids. Camp sites by water are fantastic. Lots of piers to fish off of. BEAUTIFUL sunsets

This is such a great state park!! Beautiful grounds, big sites, super nice staff, the lake right at your fingertips. Teri, Brett & Elaine are all wonderful. Camphosts are friendly too. 😉 It's a little slice of paradise. Perfect spot for sunset every night on the docks. There's a grocery store, dollar general & a couple restaurants less than 10 minutes away. Propane exchanges but no refills nearby. Wish we could have stayed longer. Favorite LA state park yet!

Another Fantastic park!!! Loved the boat Rental and great fishing!!! Office Staff was such a Great lady..( didn't get her name ) we talked for so long!!! Super friendly and told some of the parks history!! Hope to be back soon!!

Lake Bruin State Park is small but exceedingly charming. I stayed in one of the standard cabins and it was perfect for my needs. Located right on the water, I was able to launch my kayak almost directly from the front porch. The Park itself may be small but the lake, one of many oxbows on the Mississippi River, is large enough for anyone's need for space. I'll attach some photos of my stay so that you can see the Park and cabin and lake.

Just water and lights need a portable tank for gray water but they do got a dumping station
Its really good fishing some nice size catfish and bass in there as of right now I don't know how high the water level is there
I would imagine that it is open this weekend you probably can swim too

25 per night in rv less in tent area...all tent areas do have electricity
Yes... Lots of the sites have tent pads but can set up tent on any site
Have not rented a cabin there. They are nice.
