We couldn't visit it because they don't open on Sundays

Not a lot to do when the manatees aren’t around. Also had an event on 2 nd floor so we couldn’t access

Very small facility with watch areas outside with limited shade. Interior facility is very updated with many displays and info about manatees. There is also a small gift shop and areas to take pictures. Ample parking is available and there is a park area to sit and watch the harbor.

Anytime there is cooler than normal temperature, is your best bet.
Nick's 50s diner reasonable big portions about 15 min from the lagoon
Free to enter the Pavillion
No its free
Yes, we have already visited this season and so many are there already!
Go to their website and click on the manatee cam. It will show what is there. But for what it is worth there is no up close viewing. All viewi g is from above looking down into the outlet pool. There is no underwater viewing. Best you can do is see they are there and general shapes. They are mammals and do have to breath so if you are lucky you may get to see a snout break the surface.
The only legitimate service dogs are those for the blind. Who can't see Manatees!
Check the manatee web cam.
It's unpredictable to tell whether or not a manatee will be on site during the summer- during the winter when it's cold outside is a more predictable time to know that they will be here.
If you just stay outside, my guess is yes. But they have an indoor educational area with bathrooms and a gift shop too. I'd check their website just to be certain.
It's 9 am to 4pm every day it varies on holidays
There is no admission - admission is free.
We understand Manatee Lagoon has many fans that are eager to visit the center. We want to assure you that we remain committed to delivering a safe, enjoyable experience for our manatee fans. At this time, in making the safety of our visitors and staff a priority, our facility will remain closed. Until we can welcome you onsite once again, we have a variety of virtual offerings on our website and social channels. We hope you will check them out! As soon as we have an opening date to share, we will announce it. Thank you for your understanding!
We tried that last year and didn't hear much success. When we came the following year during regular hours it was much more enjoyable
Manatees come and go I was there Tuesday at first nothing but after 40 minutes there were 5 and they stayed quite a long time
No I don't think you can. They save injured manatees and sea life as well as educate others about those creatures, it's not a fishing spot.
No. Prime viewing time is between November and The end of March. There is an online camera to make sure some friends are down that way. Wait for cold snaps.
I was told once the waters warmed up they traveled farther out...that Nov-Feb are best times for sightings as they go to the springs then for the warmer water
They have a live web cam you can check. Usually when the weather is cold.
No swimming at this location, just private decks.
Best to call and speak to someone!
I was there in the rain 2 weeks ago. There is a deck with a sheltered area to view them. There were at least 35 of them.
Yes
Go to Manatee Lagoon website. It has a link called "Manatee Cam" that is on real time all the time.
They are mammals that surface about every 10 to 20 minutes. They are much too heavy to jump like dolphins. It is a very cool place. We totally enjoyed our time there. BTW - it is free !!
Their website says the best months are Nov-March since the manatees move south in the cold months.
Dawn to dusk
Maybe because it's a holiday and it's run by volunteers of FPL?
No. There's no cafe. But there are lots of places to sit.
The center has a website that will show if the manatees are there or not
It is free! :-) The cooler the weather the more Manatee you will see. Enjoy!
