Manatees come and go I was there Tuesday at first nothing but after 40 minutes there were 5 and they stayed quite a long time
Thanks for your answers everyone. The thing about the live cam is that there's either too much glare off the water to see anything below the surface, or it's too dark (this time of year). The live cam is a good idea, but doesn't necessarily always provide a good indication of how many Manatees are in the lagoon. The glare on the surface obviates my ability to see what's just below it.
On their website, they have a camera towards the lagoon. If the manatees have arrived, you can see they will be available to watch in person. It is a tranquil atmosphere, so if it's not your style, checking out the camera in real time will do you justice.
Haven't been back in a couple weeks but they were there Thanksgiving weekend. All I can really say is to go on a cool day and go earlier than later. The manatees like the warm water pumped out by the FPL plant so cooler weather is better. Hope that helps.
Hello Sam I understand your frustrations. There is Sandy the sand 🏰 downtown WPM a Museum. But the Manatees are on their own schedule. It took me 3 trips to see them water temperature is the best indicator of their migration. The ships the noise it's not easy but worth it.. Good luck. Music at Clamitis is good also..
