I was told once the waters warmed up they traveled farther out...that Nov-Feb are best times for sightings as they go to the springs then for the warmer water
I live on the earman river which connects to the ocean and every morning they come out back and hang out 4 about an hour so id assume you would see them. They r so amazing.they eat the leaves that hang close to the water you'll love it amazing
Went two days ago. Saw none. They have a live web cam, I'd check that first
Official manatee season is November-March. You might see a manatee or two since there are some manatees that choose to stay in the area year round, but it is not very likely that you will see 50-100 of them gathering together in April. There is a lot of other marine life to spot in the water adjacent to manatee lagoon (fish, sea turtles, stingrays, sharks, etc), and there are self-guided exhibits and guided tours inside where you can learn all about manatees.
Manatees usually arrive in cold weather.
We went on March and we didn't see any. It's warming up so I think they are gone now
