By far my favorite ferry park. See them come, see them go, and gaze into the beautiful depths of the East River. Will be back.

My wife and live 2 minutes up the street from the park and visit it frequently. It is a nice place to walk to when we want to get out of our apartment. On weekends, It can get pretty crowded and there will be no picnic tables available but it's all good. The view to Manhattan from here is amazing. Domino park is right next door which is another great place to check out if you are in the area. Grand Ferry park is a nice place to stop by to check the view of Manhattan and east river. Would definitely recommend five out of five stars.

Would recommend to go to domino park instead. This is a smaller grass area on the water next to that park

Can dogs be off the leash there?

Marco Meier | Oct 10, 2018
Jose R Lopez | Oct 10, 2018

No they can not. By NYC laws, all dogs must be on leashes at all NYC parks and playgrounds. Only place that a dog can be off the leash is in doggie playground parks. Another reason why you shouldn't is due to the Hasidic Jews who live there or around there. They are very afraid of all dogs due to there pass. They will call officials and complain about your actions in leaving your dog off it's leash.
