I went downstairs just to get a plugger for our toilet and the front desk was very rude and talked down to me like I was beneath him somehow. I started to cry because I was just so upset and all the front desk had to say to me was, "We're good, right?" I went back up to my room in tears crying. The man at the front desk was very rude and unprofessional. He made me feel very uncomfortable and feel like I was a peasant compared to him.We found a cockroach underneath our fridge and I told the front desk and the housekeeping supervisor and they never did anything about it and never had anyone come to check our room for more bugs. I was coming out of the room one night and when I opened the door the security officer was standing up against our door one night listening in on us, which was very creepy. I felt like I had no privacy at this hotel. They really need to work on thier customer service and hospitality. Very rude people I feel sorry for them, I guess they hate their job so much they feel the need to take out their anger and self pity on the guests. This used to be my favorite hotel to stay at for vacation but now I just feel unwelcome and I want to go home. Something needs to be done about this.

Clean rooms , clean linens and the staff was great . The security guards were excellent ‼️The view of the ocean from our room was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again and again❤️

First of all we stayed at Sandy Beach many times in the past several years. We have always been happy with the accommodations, staff, and beach access. This year has been a considerable difference with the condos. We had booked a room and decided to upgrade. The first room had a roach in the kitchen, and the room neighbor was smoking on the balcony. This is supposed to be a smoke free campus. We had upgraded the room due to family size. The second room was fine. However, it seems that hotel guests like to part take in smoking weed. The smell was on the balcony and in the elevators. As we came in after the hurricane, we never received notice that the water amenities were closed. Sandy Beach did not offer any compensation. At least the beach front was nice. On the fifth night the room next to us decided to play very, loud music well past midnight. Nothing was done about it. Last night/this morning the same room was playing music at 2:30 in the morning and those occupants decided to take their bedroom activities on the beach for a free show. So we decided to cut our losses and go home early. It’s really sad to see a place that was well maintained to go down hill.

Here during hurricane Ian. If you are coming in October 2022 and want to use the pools, better call ahead to check status. Pool area was over run by the ocean. Staff is out the day after starting clean up. Rest of the building is in good shape. Stayed in privately owned condo. Rooms are clean and in good shape.

The chairs at the pool are on a first come, first serve basis. There are a lot of them, so no worries there. They cannot be removed from the pool area, however. On the beach, you can rent chairs and an umbrella from Lack's Beach Service. Check out their website, or talk to a lifeguard. They set them up daily in the morning for you, and take down every evening between 4 and 5. I have on occasion seen a grill on property, but I'm unsure if it is always available. I would call the hotel and ask.
Not sure but they were very comfortable.
Yes if you're a guest you'll get a paper when you check in that has the password
Not that I'm aware of. But you can get an Uber from the airport to Sandy Beach Resort for only around $13; And the local bus route is an option, too!
No

This is a bad place to stay. Not clean, rude staff!!
Debra when you book a room you have to put a deposit down I know and then you can either pay when you get there or you can actually call and make payments until your stay. I made payments and it was all paid off by the time we got there.
Yes!
You would need to be at least 25 to book at Sandy Beach.
