Landry's was absolutely delicious! We heard from locals that it was considered a chain and therefore not super authentic, but it was the best seafood meal I've ever had! Can't wait to see how good "real" New Orleans seafood is.

Nice big parking lot. Prime location on the water. I took the elevator, because the restaurant is up on floor 2. Came out on floor 2 a few feet from the front desk. There were a few people talking there. I asked for a table for one. It's lunchtime...there was the side with the bar where everyone was seated, a few extra empty tables, and another side, completely empty and I'm not sure the lights were on there. Anyway, the server took me to the empty side to seat me... table for one..out of sight of others.... I asked her if I could be seated on the other side, "you know..with people". I think she was new because she went back to the front desk to see if I could be seated with others. Anyway, I got a table on the edge of the dining room. The server was nice, it was just weird if she was being trained they would tell her to do that. THE FOOD: My appetizer was jalapeños stuffed with seafood. On a bed of crispy onion strings, was delicious. The seafood flavor was mild and creamy. The jalapeno was fried and had good heat. My entree was Southern Fried Fish with fries and onion strings. A house salad on the side was great. The fried fish...light and tender and a good size. The fries tasty, and again..onion strings..delicious.

First, I want to say my appetizer was delicious, as I ordered the crab, spinach, and artichoke dip. The chips were fresh & crisp. This review is about poor customer service on 5/30 and the host/manager unwillingness to accommodate a guest. I parked on the Lakefront and walked to Landry's for an appetizer. Out of nowhere it began storming, so I couldn't leave to get back to my car. I asked if they could accommodate a party of ONE (1) since it started raining. The dark haired, female manager, said it would be a 35-40 minute wait. I asked if I could sit at the bar. She said, well there are no chairs at the bar. I asked if I could stand at the bar, and she said, well it's not really open and there are no chairs. (Sidenote: I was there the day before on 5/29, and the bar had chairs and 3-4 high tables on the side near the bar. The bartender told us those tables were for those ordering from the bar and that we could sit there to eat. Neither host shared that info, one being the dark haired female manager. My friend then requested a table, received the text that our table was ready. A host sees my friend on the patio, and questioned her asking if she had a reservation. My friend was embarrassed, as she felt she was being questioned about why she was there. Though I wasn't there when that part happened, it really bothered my friend to be singled out like that, and people looking. The host should have checked their log to see that a party of two was seated.) I asked if I could sit on the patio if I find a dry table. She said, well it's raining, and there probably isn't anything, but she never went to check for herself. I literally saw empty booths and tables available. After realizing, she had no interest in my request for a party of one, I went back to the bar and waited for my food. Once done, I asked a bartender if I could eat on the patio if I find a dry table and the person said yes, so I did. Interesting thing is, a group of 3-4 ordered food to go right before me, went on the patio to eat, and then accommodated with a table inside. I saw the lady ask a different host, and they were given a table. Given it was two days straight with the same manager involved, it really makes me question how she does business. Do better, and be consistent in your service to paying customers. I didn't let her poor service ruin my day, and once the rain stopped, I continued enjoying the Lakefront scenery.

We visited here for lunch. The seafood and the hospitality of the staff were all great! It made the memories of New Orleans even more wonderful.

Really don't know but the crayfish bread is awesome I recommend.
According to Open Table! They are accepting reservations on the 23rd.
Landry restaurants check your card against your credit card. I would report it to Landry and see what they recommend.
