We really enjoy camping here. The sites are spacious and the kids love the fishing pond!

Very nice state park - great campground ranging from full hookups to dry camping. Great family area.

There are big areas with level gravel pads. The WiFi was good enough to stream. Restroom was relatively clean. Our site, 129, was next to the reservoir and a large parking spot where a food truck was. The truck wasn’t open when we were there. All of the spots were spacious and most have large trees. Many of the campers decorated with lights. It was 104° when we rolled in. They had a large beach. This place is mostly for boating campers but has a small pond for kids to fish. They have some sites large enough for boats. They have a life jacket lending station. We had to pay a $5 vehicle fee. There were no rangers or workers when we were there but we arrived after five on a Wednesday. There are many geocaches in this park and immediate area. We would recommend this campground.

This is a fantastic state park. Everything is well maintained. Campsites are large. Lots of green space which they keep mowed short. Agave Ridge hiking trail is wonderful. Paved and mowed next to the pavement. One mile paved or option to take 4 miles on a mowed path. Clear water, lush vegetation, beautiful bluffs. Take the Scenic Byway and/or visit Castle Rock. Water level at lake has risen considerably since last year. Still a bit below conservation level but much better than it was.

Yes in areas there is shade under trees. Not every campsite has shade.
No there's only paid spots
If you are in an RV or travel trailer, I prefer overland campground. Close to the water and nice campsites.
We stopped here for a night on our trip ot west this past summer. Very nice campground, and lots of room at each site. If checking in late I believe you need cash, especially if leaving before office opens.
You can hammock camp at any location, while we don't have a designated sites you are welcome to set up where you can find a place
Cedar Bluff does not currently rent any jet skis or boats. There are private guide services, but no rentals.
