We loved staying here!! The sites are large and private. Beach was beautiful with sunset views. Road noise was there but not a problem for sleeping. We camped in mid-June and there was an abundance of these black bugs (see picture). They didn't bite, they just swarmed when stirred up.

The USDA forestry website says that this site accepts the ATB Annual Pass, this was not the case when we showed up and had to make new plans at around 8pm, beware the hosts of this campground feel scammy

We only stayed one night but this place is GREAT! We can't wait to come back for a full week. The host was very nice and respectful, she gave off an "I won't put up with BS" vibe that was nice to see. We like quite when we camp and found it here. See you again soon! They do allow dogs, just can't be loud constantly and must remain on a leash.

Loved camping here! Traffic on 2 but the sound of the waves at night is worth the trade off! Some great spots here for sure and Bathrooms are spotless!

Yeah it's first come first serve there's no one on site to regulate it's an honor system but there are ranger stations in the area and they do stop by at least once a day to check to make sure everybody's paid up.

Laura, they have a few sites that are walk up only, you might be able to snag one of those if none are available online. There were a few open sites while I was there.

National forest are seperate from state. Like sleeping bear dunes? Pay a fee for access still. Think it's like backcountry camping permits. If yoy went on beach they wanted $4 in a pay envelope provided on site. Put envelope into drop box when filled out.

Do you need a state park pass for your vehicle to camp at this camp ground? If so, how much is it?

Andy Blank | Apr 27, 2021

It's not a state park, so a state park pass is of no use. They charge for day use, $4.
