It's cool to see. I don't know that I'd need to do it more than once. Buy tickets in advance. You can also check the website around 900a and see if they are any available tickets. I checked and got a ticket for the same day. You have to go through security as it's a national landmark. They have a museum area after that and other setups to learn about the arch and its history, there is a gift shop and cafe inside. Line up at your time... there aren't many people lining up until about 4-5 min prior to the scheduled time. You stand in line for a while before you get to go back. There really isn't a benefit because you get assigned a group 1 through 9. You sit with your group in the pod up and down...maximum of 5 people

Should be on the to-do list for everybody visiting St Louis. The Arch itself is huge and you can go up all to the top. Tour guide Sandy was awesome and very funny. The museum is just as impressive as the Arch itself. The history and development of St Louis is clearly explained. Well done. Museum itself is very clean and modern.

I had never really wanted to visit the Arch but I thought I'd give it a go and I was pleasantly surprised. A beautiful museum to see before you have to purchase anything at all. Definitely go to the top of the arch. Amazing views. And if you get there at noon you can see the shadow perfect between the two legs of the Arch!!!

We had a wonderful time. Found street parking using the ParkMobile app & enjoyed a 2 minute walk to the entrance. The museum was very interactive & interesting to both me & my 5yo. The tram ride was comfortable & quick up & down. The guides were all super friendly & welcoming to the park...they really added to the experience, especially Sandy at the south tram. Even the souvenir store wasn't crazy overpriced & had plenty for everyone to choose something. Overall a fantastic experience & I am looking forward to going back when the weather warms up to explore the grounds & riverfront a bit more!

I think it was $13 per person to ride the tram (elevator) to the top.
I didn't see that option while we were there this past weekend. They did have prices listed for seniors though.
If plan to go then April 20 is NPS fee free day . Other days it's $14 weekend and $12 weekday in April
The pros and cons of each seem to be equal. Buying at the gate, you may have a slight wait, but you can pick your tram time based on when you arrive. However, during the tourist season some may be full. Buying online you can guarantee a spot, but may get slowed down by the wait through security, which is usually only longer during the tourist season.
Outside the building. There's a police force on the premises and cameras everywhere
You can go into the arch museum, below ground at the base of the arch. They also sell tickets to go to the top of the arch (inside) where there are viewing windows. Beware, it is very claustrophobic to go up in a tiny elevator car, and the arch at the top often feels like it is swaying.
The ground the arch is still under construction which could impose a problem for you on netting there. Other than that it is 100% finished and great as ever! 👍
There is only 1 Arch and it is in 1 state, St Louis MO.
There are lots of parking garages nearby. There's also cheaper parking down along the river below the arch on Leonor K Sullivan drive. It's a little tricky to get to because of construction, but is only $5 during the day.
