Best Western Montgomery I-85 North Hotel

I usually never leave reviews but I thought I would share my experience. Entering the building to check in, we were not greeted by either of the people at the front desk. After checking in they gave us our room key on the second floor, hallways and elevator smelled like weed. we walk in the room and there is other peoples belongings all over the room! This staff just put us in someone’s else room…. Luckily there was not anyone in there at the time of us walking in. I go back down to the counter and inform the girl of that and she says “oh really”. No apologies, nothing. We get to our new room and the chair and floor has stains all over it, as well as some of the linen had brown all over it. Breakfast was not good at all and not a lot to choose from. Worst hotel stay ever.

Booked the room online around 12am and walked right in and the room was available. The guy at the service desk was nice. The room on the other hand was OK. The room its self wasnt bad it was just halfed cleaned. You can see some of my stuff in the photo but seriously the beer bottle was already there from the last guest 😅. The room also was hot upon arrival but I left and went to the casino and by the time I came back it was cold. When I woke up the next morning the room was back to my arrival temperature- hot. We never touched the thermostat just looked at it - it was on cool 70. The breakfast was also okay and the workers in the dining area were nice and helpful. The breakfast they had available was sausage gravy, biscuits, sausage patties, "scrabbled" eggs, 3 types of cereal, 2 types of yogurt with toppings on the side if u like - such as chocolate chips, cranberries, and granola, bagels, bread, grits in a pack, oatmeal in a pack, and apples. Almost forgot the juice they had apple, orange, and water. Overall I'm assuming if they had more staff everything about this hotel would be top tier!

Booked two double rooms and had to go back to front desk for both rooms because they were King rooms and their system showed the wrong (wonder how many times that has happened). We were also charged more than quoted over the phone. Also, we called few minutes before we arrived to confirm pool was open and was told that it was to find out that in fact it was not. Lady at desk was friendly but obviously not informed by management on what rooms were what and if pool was even open. Didn’t have high expectations for a Best Western to begin with but expected for them to at least have basic knowledge of the hotel.

This was the worst hotel stay I've ever experienced! Upon arrival they have us the room directly next to the housekeeping laundry. The room smelled of old wet carpet and bug spray. The nasty bath mat was lifting and didn't look like it could be cleaned even if they tried. After requesting a different room the new now smelled much fresher but the door wouldn't latch to close or lock, you could just push it open. Finally, the third room we were moved into seemed to be much better. Smell was better tub was cleaner but old microwaveable dinner trash was left on top of the microwave. Someone started playing music around 8PM. About 12AM my husband called the front seat about the music but the music remained consistent from 8PM until we checked out at 11:30AM. Yes the music was still being played and heard through the walls when we left. Not a very restful night's sleep. If I could leave zero stars I would
