Conference vendor had error with hotel reservation. Front desk staff proactively contact me and resolved issue, arranged credit and made follow up phone call and emails. Went above and beyond even at an extremely busy time with full capacity. Have always made this my choice for business and pleasure stays while in the Madison area, but after this experience am even more confident the decision.

The room and bathroom appear to be recently renovated and are well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. Grab and Go was a great option for breakfast when on the run. The bed was quite comfortable. There was plenty of lighting. The one thing I wish the room offered was a fan that could be set to run continuously.

It was our first time staying here for Midwest Horse Fair and it did not disappoint. We ended up being moved into a suite which worked well for our family and helped accommodate another family. Win win. It was so quiet at night with no hallway noise and noise from people above. The rooms were exceptionally clean. Sandy was beyond helpful and made sure our stay was great. Santiago was also wonderful! The breakfast bar was always being stocked, cleaned and prepped for more guests. He was kind and polite. It is so nice to stay somewhere with such a large influx of guests and the location being so clean! We will be back next year!

We had a mixed experience at this hotel. The room was spacious and clean, but had a strong sewer odor in the bathroom when we arrived. After investigating, we realized that the smell was coming from the floor drain, so we dumped some water in the drain, and that resolved the issue. We are surprised that this issue was not noted when the room was cleaned prior to our arrival. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, but we unfortunately booked while a youth wrestling tournament was going on at the event center across the street. So the lobby was packed with parents partying loudly all evening and late into the night the first two nights of our stay. We had planned to grab takeout at local restaurants for dinner and bring it back to the hotel to eat as we are still avoiding dining in due to covid, but the entire dining area was filled with these partiers during each meal, so our family of five had to eat dinner in our room which was a bit of a logistical challenge. The pool was at capacity with all the kids for the first night, and the second night as we arrived at the pool, a mom informed us that her child had just vomited in it, so once again our boys could not swim. The noise of kids kept us up late each night, and my husband went down to the desk to complain about loud music at 3 am which turned out to be the music from the outdoor driveway canopy as our room was just above it. Unfortunately, it was not a restful weekend for us. We were in town for a campus tour at UW, and the location was convenient, as was the shuttle ride the hotel provided to campus. All in all, I'm sure most would have a positive stay here, but I would definitely check the event schedule at the Alliant Energy Center before booking if loud partiers with lots of kids would ruin your experience.
