Wish there is 0 star option. The staff missed to collect one file, which I brought to the appointment and even asked TWICE if they need it. Now for the missing file, I need to make another appointment in person, and the earliest date is ON MY TRAVEL DATE. This is the expedite service I paid for!!

I attempted to be seen for urgent travel in Sept 2022, at which time they were very clear that there are absolutely no walk-ups. According to the staff this has been true since at least 2019. Even if there are no-shows or cancellations for that day, there’s no waitlist you can get off of or anything like that. Keep calling the number and ask for an “urgent travel appointment.” The system works if you get an appointment and show up early.

My girlfriend and I are leaving for a trip on the 5th of September and we called to make appointments at exactly 8am on August 22nd. All went well and we got the day and time we were hoping for. We followed the application instructions to a T and brought not only every document and copy of it that they asked for but every supporting document we could think of (majority of which weren’t requested lmao). Today September 1st was the day of our appointment. We got there at 7:15 am and were let in to go through security at 7:34 am. I was finished with the first window within minutes and immediately went to the second window. Alicia helped me and I genuinely thought we were cool until she suddenly just seemed annoyed with me and eventually laughed at her computer and said “so you can get it tomorrow.” with no further explanation or option to overnight mail it. I was disappointed I’d have to drive back to DC but ultimately decided that that would’ve worked just fine and got over it. Until my girlfriend finished with her second window and told me she was informed to come back at 11 today to pick up her passport. We left the building at 8 am. We came back at 1 pm. My girlfriend was called to get her passport within 10 minutes and we continued to sit there until people who had 10am appointments were heading out with their passports and I just continued to wait. Eventually there was only a handful of people left and the man working asked who had an 8am appointment today and I was the only one to raise my hand. I gave him my ID and a couple minutes later he called me up to tell me my application “disappeared” and he had no idea “what black hole it was lost in” by 3:30 we were the last people in there and I was finally handed my passport! They weren’t super busy today (that I saw) and everyone was so so kind- both the employees and everyone in there and they made an intentional effort to make sure everyone who needed a passport left with one. I genuinely have nothing negative to say even though I was kinda left out to dry. Good luck!

Just have your documents ( photo, form filled in black ink, id/drivers license, birth certificate....) and proof that you are leaving (example hotel or airplane confirmation) book an appointment on their website. If no appointments are available then go as a walk in as soon as they open up. They only do same day in emergency, they do in order of how soon you need them so you will most likely be done the day before you leave. You can have a friend or family member pick it up for you if you are not available, just let them know and they will tell you how, it doesn't cost any extra, your friend just has to have an id and sign a paper.
