yes body you have to renew the passport before you go.

You need 6 months validity on your passport to enter India. You have to get a new passport. I'm sorry. Arrive at main office very early tomorrow morning with completed passport renewal form, new photos and a copy of your airplane ticket. You should be able to get expedited passport tonorrow.
