The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is a Cabinet-level executive branch department of the federal government charged with providing life-long healthcare services to eligible military veterans at the 170 VA medical centers and outpatient clinics located throughout the country. Non-healthcare benefits include disability compensation, vocational rehabilitation, education assistance, home loans, and life insurance. The VA also provides burial and memorial benefits to eligible veterans and family members at 135 national cemeteries. While veterans' benefits have been provided by the federal government since the American Revolutionary War, a veteran-specific federal agency was not established until 1930, as the Veterans Administration. In 1982, its mission was extended to a fourth mission to provide care to non-veterans and civilians in case of national emergencies. In 1989, the Veterans Administration became a cabinet-level Department of Veterans Affairs. The agency is led by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, who, being a cabinet member, is appointed by the President. As of June 2020, the VA employs 412,892 people at hundreds of Veterans Affairs medical facilities, clinics, benefits offices, and cemeteries. In Fiscal Year 2016 net program costs for the department were $273 billion, which includes the VBA Actuarial Cost of $106.5 billion for compensation benefits. The long-term "actuarial accrued liability" (total estimated future payments for veterans and their family members) is $2.491 trillion for compensation benefits; $59.6 billion for education benefits; and $4.6 billion for burial benefits.

The Complete VA System has FAILED Me from day 1 and for the next 36 plus years. I was injured on my Aircraft Carrier in '86, sent to physical therapy at the airforce base in Norfolk and it made things worst. Then the Ship sent me to the Portsmouth Naval Hospital, they went through the whole process and stated that I was no longer fit for service due to the injury. So 3 locations saying the same thing. I get to Tampa VA, they check me out in 1 day I explained that I was knocked down the steel stairs tumbling down. But the Dr. refused to do any mri or anything on my head. Both my knees were torn up . But i received the claim back Denied. I wrote back for the appeal but they said they never received it. And for the next 24 years they sent the document that stated i have 1 year to appeal b4 they close the claim to the same address over and over knowing where I was living all the time because I was receiving other VA mail at my house where I was at during the same time. So I never received a fair opportunity because of their mistakes and we showed them the proof but they refused to allow it.

They take care of my husband but always being told how many other patients she’s taking care of. Got denied 2 times for Caregivers pay. You come to my house and dress your veteran.

Veterans affairs would rather save money by veteran suicide than expand research into the benefits of medical cannabis in relation to ptsd. Cannabis saved this veterans life, while the VA ignored our cries for help.

Don’t bother, I have been taking care of my husband for years. Was told to apply for caregiver to help compensate. Applies 2X. Got DENIED 2X. They rather your Veterans die before they approve.
No you don't, but your spouse will. If you're trying to get enrolled her in champva.
Thank you for your response. Unfortunately my father has passed since my father has passed
No I have no way to complain or appeal anything which involves my VA benefits. make a phone call to Dover and all I get is right now our people are busy call back later at a better time I called early in the morning can't get through a call later in the day came through get through
Should be entitled
You can file for VA benefits and service connection since the injury occurred while you were active duty.
Your income is irrelevant, PTSD is for service connected. The they don't have any say ,call the white house and file a complaint.
Because they can be seen at any medical facility and the VA covers it. Social security is primarily then champva is secondary that's why they have to have part B .
No it is not true, VA is for veterans only. Unless you have a disability that came directly from his service then it's no.
This is VA Central Office (VACO). It is the headquarters and is not a regional office for claims. You need to go to the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) for your area and speak to one of their advisers. You can also file a claim through a Veterans Service Office (VSO) like the Purple Heart organization, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and others.
