October update: fees went up by 10% and they stopped coming to our neighborhood for 2 weeks. They got away of this by saying they changed the schedule. Today was supposed to be their 1st pickup since the change, and yes, you guess it right, they didn't show up. This company needs to be investigated. Pure scammers. June update: fee went up and now they are coming only once a week without any announcement. I'm not sure if this is even legal. I'm going to stop posting all the missed services. There's no point. In May, they picked up our trash only twice, and so far in June, only once. I called to cancel (you can't cancel online) callers ahead of me, 43. I wait 15 min, no change. I don't think there's anyone to answer your call. I'm reporting to BBB. EDIT: I will continue to add all missed dates here beginning today. Misses: (both trash & yard unless specified) 4/9, 4/13, 5/16, 5/19, 5/26, 5/30 (yard), 6/2, 6/6 (yard), 6/9, 6/13 (yard) Pickups: 5/23 (trash & yard) 5/30 (trash only) 6/6 (trash only), 6/13 (trash only) If you have another option, do not use this company. They are now charging $10 more per month and they miss about 80% (and growing) of their pickups. In May, they picked up trash 2 times, and yard only once. Yes, for the entire month. Update: Yard waste has not been picked up at all since 5/23.

Extremely poor service. I am paying for trash 2 times a week and recycling service. The trash service comes only once a week or next day! Now I am paying for same amount but only have trash and recycling on Fridays! Never do business with this company!! Zero rating!

The absolute worst service ever. I’ve lived many places and this is the first time where service is missed by days and when called, customer service reps are indifferent, not helpful and just downright rude. No concept at all that garbage is left on the curb for days. Onus placed on the customer to learn of trash pickup changes. If I could rate them with negative stars I would. Just awful.

Same here - one of two emails got a response - I got a 5 dollar credit, big deal! Yard waste is stinking up the street after a month

Last Thursday mine wasn't picked up but they 're scheduled for Saturday and they did showed up.

Because the amount of trash you generate per week stays the same and the dump fees continue to grow
Some may just be lazy drop it and don’t pick it up, some drivers drive off even when told still don’t care. Or it can be american recently took off these side guards that would hold the trash that cane out if the side of the hopper
We gift each guy/gal $20, personally, they're more likely to remember us. They get paid way too little to begin with and it's hard work!

You should find the manufacturer on the lid Some manufacturers will sell you a replacement

That is not at all my experience. American Disposal Services, Inc. has never missed my trash day. I've used them for the last few years.
You call up there to the office and they will deliver it to you

WHY DON'T the driver of the truck that pick up the trash can, get all of the trash out of the trash can? and pick up what was spilled?

American will nickel and dime you to death watch out for all the extra fees on your bill best to find a smaller company to go with that will give you better quality service
They probably miss your recycling, since recycling is picked up once a week , they won't be back till next Wednesday, sorry, make sure you put the cans out the day before or early morning. Thanks

We called American Disposal in advance and they quoted us $40 to haul away our mattress, which we were happy about since the junk haulers have a minimum charge that’s 4 times that. The trash company probably has to get your authorization for the extra charge before the guys can pick up bulk items.
They did not pick up the one branch we put out, and it wasn’t even big (maybe 5 feet long) ... hard to believe that would be considered a bulk item, but maybe.
