Love this peaceful, serene park. Just drive through today but have camped, fished, kayaked, walked down the trails, picnicked and bird and gator watched. Wonderful place for family time or just a quiet afternoon.

I originally booked 2 nights camping here but liked it so much I decided to stay a 3rd night. The birding and trails here are excellent. I was lucky enough to see a gopher tortoise on a hike. I also rented a kayak and went out to see the ospreys.

We often go on months-long RV trips and I have to say this might be the COOLEST state park we have come across. The paddling trail was absolutely awesome, like a scavenger hunt in the swamp. Great walking/biking trails. Sites are shaded. Clean, quiet and gorgeous with many activities to do. We will be back!

Stayed 3 nights in cabin 2. The cabins are great! Clean spacious, nice kitchen. Fire pit was neat. Nice park.

If you have a fishing license you pay for a parking pass $5 or (yearly ga park parking permit) (They have different prices depending check with the office) They do not sell fishing license there so you will have to go online or else where..
They are available but I don't know the cost. They ask that you call ahead and reserve.
no
There is a gate, but it's never been locked when we visited.
The cabins have been remodeled recently and are *nice. It's more like renting a house. "Reasonable" is subjective. There are state park memberships that include discounts on rentals that can help with the cost. I stayed in a cabin here and reserved for later this year before I left.
No motorized vehicles on any of the paths. The golf carts and whatnot are more for getting from A to B and let's for recreational riding
No, I don't think so, but you should call the park to confirm. They are really friendly and happy to answer questions.
Hi Walter, I myself did not fish that day, I did see several other guys fishing on different areas that day. Sorry don't have better answer for you, stay safe. Ben
They have 24 sites. Bathhouse is clean. All sites are gravled and level. Be sure and bring bug spray. A.face net.helps with the gnats
About $33 but that is dependent on season.
Yes
As far as I know it is open.
We brought our own its cheqper that way . It cost about 35 bucks i say.
The alligators kinda put a damper on swimming. Great canoeing and kayaking however as of 09-27-19 the lake is so low it isn't worth the effort. Definitely a hidden gem in SE GA.
Cabin 1 and 4 allow pets.
Website says lake as been restocked with bass and bream, if you want to give it a try now.
Dont know never seen anybody out there with.a motor on there boat
7 am to 10 pm all week
That is current information as of last week
You can purchase the tickets online
No.
Yes. There are primitive sites and normal RV sites that you can put a tent on. Either one it's up to you.
I live right beside it. It's got about half back and rising but still no one out on lake St this point. Keep checking back in and I will let you know a date when they announce it.
Third weekend of November every year. This year it was November 17th so we just got done with it!
Probably, but you will have to give them a call.
Not sure about that
Yes, the water levels are still down. You can not rent boats or kayaks at the moment but you can bring your own boat or kayak.
The one we stayed did not.
At the office, or if the office is closed for some reason, there is a collection box near the office. If you frequent Georgia State Parks, I recommend an annual pass. It pays for itself quickly if you go often, and alleviates having to stop and pay the entrance fee.
It states 1 p.m. However if the campground is empty, you can check in sooner.
I didn't see any on our visit, but I did see plenty of other wild life!
Yes
