Dear Denton, like you, we have a life, family, kids, pets and mainly we respect time. Many of us had an appointment on 09/22/2022 in AM, when we came we were turned back saying all appointments cancelled while you were partying. There was no information and even you allowed to book appointments the same day. While i am not against partying you should have atleast informed us. there were handicapped people whom i saw being turned away. Please respect everyone. thats the least we can ask for.

Didn’t let me give 0 star review. Asked for help and everyone is rude and don’t help at all

I tried to renew my license today and they need your birth certificate, which I understand. They issue is, it’s not listed on things needed to renew your license. Please update your website and make that in bold letters at the top… please
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
I already tried Gainesville and Lewisville. The lines are out to the street. Today at the Denton one for the third fail at that locationl, stood in snow for an hour just to be told that I need my birth certificate. It's nice to miss out on work to freeze and not get paid for something they forgot to mention in a letter sent from the State of Texas that I need a special type of drivers license now.
You don't unless you are taking a driving test if that be the case online you can schedule on DPS website. If not be prepared to sit for at least 2 hours as they are overbooked and not enough staff. I would try Gainsville locaton.

This is a Department of Public Safety office not the DMV. Go to your County Tax Office.
Make an appointment bit I thought you could do that online as well.
The tiny super long number at the bottom
Yes, it is open. I've visited it couple of weeks ago.
First of all.open their website very earlier like 07:50 in the morning try to get an appointment if they allow you one try to be there just before 08:10 you will be satisfied by the personal
You need to call or come over getting more informations
I think so. You may have to go to the website and try town after town to get an appointment that is sooner because they are scheduling way out. Also, make sure ypu bring every document needed on the list or they will turn you away.
No appointments booked month out check surrounding towns for better faster appointments good luck
As of last week It has only been by appointment only. Check the website but probably not.
I don't know, maybe schedule online and then go over there to see what they can do
Check my review; no, this office says they do not do renewals.
This is a Department of Public Safety office not the DMV.
You need to walk in to the office there
I know that they were accepting the first 10 people per day as walk-ins as of July 2022 but you'd have to get there pretty early.
If you get there early enough, they take the first 10 for walk-ins. Or online same day appointments open at 7:50am everyday
Hi! I was able to schedule my appointments in office and they were 1-2 weeks out. They do accept same day walk-ins but you must be one of the first 10 people in the morning. I'd advise arriving at least 30 minutes before the office opens in order to receive same day services. I hope this helps :)
Call and ask them.
I'd birth certificate and social security card something to show your address
They should. You just have to show up really early and make sure you have all your needed documents. They will give you a fast track ticket which will give u the time you need to come back that day.
Yes, appointments are required for all of DPS' Service offerings.
They told me no. They release online every morning at 7:45 a few "day of appointments", but you access those online through the appointment making feature on the DPS website. However, when I walked in they made an appointment for me in 3 weeks and online it said the soonest was in almost 4 months.
No, not if you're just borrowing it. The insurance just needs to be current, and valid.
I went to DMV a week ago. They definitely required birth certificate
Online appointments. They release same day appointments online around 7.55 am daily. There are o ly 6 or 7 gotta be quick or wait for a week. But once you're in they get you taken care off.
You should get an email with all details.
No you have to go to the tax office on McKinney Street
A death certificate and the title at three forms of identification
Yes
Maybe make an online appointment. You will need to take documentation with you. Basically take your whole life with you.
No, you must have an appt. However, pending on where you go, there are some employees that if you show up, will check to see if they can fit you in since there are cancelations. There are others that will go by the book. Good luck!
We had to make a appt. There were so many people we need up in Denton. You can try,but we just made a appt.
Go to dmv.texas.gov and select driver license. You can then click on the new appointment scheduling link to select your date.
Yes you can but it is very limited walk ins and I would say try to arrive a little bit early like around 4am
Birth certificate is not needed or required to renew your DL. In case get proof of address
You can use your birth certificate & your old license to renew your license.
Well there is a police officer on duty so I would say that is a high probability.
What do you mean by lien release letter what are you trying to do please explain
Yes you will have to make an appointment but the appointment are put off about a month or two out if you can be there by seven o'clock Monday morning they will set you up an appointment for that day. Mostly likely you will need all his info and yours
Open to walk ins, but it is a lottery type system. First come, first served, limited number of openings. The doors open at 7:00 am. Line starts at 5:30 am. Make sure you have ALL your documents in order, or you will be turned away. If you have all things required for your situation, you will then be given an appointment time for that day. YOU MUST HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TO ENTER BUILDING. They will NOT accept walk ins later in the day.. Hope this helps.
Yes, you can get permit here but you will have to come early around 6 am in line if you don't have an appointment; as appointment are available at September if you check online. And bring necessary documents.
Go to the Texas department of public safetys website, follow instructions on what needs to be done to get it replaced and make an appointment at an office near you.
I walked up with my Son last Tuesday 15 minutes before they opened and we got a 12:30 appointment same day. We were in and out in 30 minutes when we came back for the appointment. There were a few people in front of us that got earlier appointments, and the line grew pretty quickly after we got there. Definitely luck of the draw.
Probably not
It was fast with the appointment.. There was a line but the lady asks if you have an appointment then let's you in
I am needing to renew my Driver License what web site do I go to? That would be me going to Denton Tx
No
Did you not get a text message reminder? I think you can go online and check
Yes.
Try going in without a appointment
Call the DPS
Yes but if you get there extremely early and are one of the first there without an appointment they will work you in .... early in line like at at 5:30 -6 am .... this is how my son was able to get his test done and same with my husband replacing the driver's license without an appointment.
Definitely have your birth certificate and another form of id. And proof of residency.
Your own 🚗
I'm not sure about weekday hours, I think Saturdays require appointments.
Visit the dps website and renew license for out of state license. You can do everything online
They're only doing it by appointment which you can't get until December (last I checked.) However, I went at 6 AM to stand in line and was able to get an appointment that day. They have a specific amount of tickets to be able to do that each day, so if you plan on going that route, make sure you get there EARLY to ensure you're one of the first in line. I was the first there at 6 AM and by 6:15 there were already 6-7 cars there. Also, make absolute sure you have everything you need.
You can go online to do it...google denton drivers license renew online and it should pull up for u.
They have limited spots for walk-ins. I would suggest getting there a bit before 7 a.m.
Through thier website https://www.dps.texas.gov/driverlicense/appointments.htm
I think they are only issuing licenses right now
where R U Located?
No
Yes
You won't be eligible to renew but you can pay $11 for a replacement and the new DL will be a real ID. Don't forget to also bring in the original or certified copy of your birth certificate (the one from the state, not the hospital), OR a US passport book or card (it CAN be expired if you already have your TX license), OR proof of your lawful presence if you are not a US citizen. Also, bring proof of your social security number just in case it is not already on file. You will fill out a DL-14A if you are an adult and mark "Replacement" at the top.
As long as you are inside the building before 5, they will take care of you. Don't forget original or certified copy of birth certificate, social security card, verification of enrollment from school (less than 30 days old), two proofs of address (from different sources, printed out, same name and same address on both, one at least 30 days old but neither over 90 days old, and whoever's name they're in has to sign a Residency Affidavit. A list can be found here, under Proof of Residency in Texas: https://www.dps.texas.gov/internetforms/Forms/DL-57.pdf), and the certificate for the course (green, half-sheet certificate, IF it is a parent-taught course, the parent who is signed up as the instructor with TDLR, must sign the certificate and put their DL# on it at the bottom).
Call and ask them or look online.
No, you have to take the actual paper form.
U should go before it expires
$11 if DL is not expired. $25 if you need to do a renewal.
What's the problem?😂😂right!!
I wish I had an answer for you. I think that the DPS is probably not going to help you with that issue. It sounds as if you need to go to the DMV. If I may suggest, when you do go down to the DMV, I would stay off the toll roads. God bless your family member who is giving you $892. You sound irresponsible and should be thankful that they love you enough to help. Good luck!
No you get that from your doctor or specialist
Good luck
Go to the DPS
Depends on whether it is already expired. If it is you must have you birth certificate, SS Card and if your address has changed you will need something to prove your current address such as a utility bill. If it has not expired I dont believe you need any of that. But I AM NOT A DPS EMPLOYEE.
If you can go online to take care of your needs. I dont know a number for Denton. I do not work for TDPS.
Unfortunately I do not know. Go online to find out.
She needs to identify herself to the staff as needing an ADA accommodation.
Anyone know how long it takes to arrive after it's been mailed? It's been 2 1/2 weeks, which doesn't seem right. Even on horseback.
Look at the require documents at this link. http://www.dps.texas.gov/DriverLicense/OnlineServices.htm
Yes or online and not have to go to an office. http://www.dps.texas.gov/DriverLicense/OnlineServices.htm
You can get an ID card at any DPS Driver License office. Check the document requirements first. https://www.dps.texas.gov/DriverLicense/OnlineServices.htm
You can book the test with driving schools. This was way better than going to the dmv. You’d still need to go to get your actual license once you pass
https://www.dps.texas.gov/DriverLicense/OnlineServices.htm
Yes. Take your marriage license/divorce originals or certified copy or both to the office with you. They need paper trail to see when your name changed to what it is now.
Yes
Yes
No they are only open mon-fri, excluding holidays
Theres a video on another website you have to watch and get a certificate from
Birth certificate, ss card, proof of residency, 2 recent bills ie; cable, medical, insurance, utility that matches the address. I think that's it. If ur married, u need ur marriage license, if you're divorced, you'll also need a divorce decree
They only need two addresses proof. I guess it should be fine. Apart from that, you'll also need ssn, passport, i20, online written test completion certificate.
Go to DPS.Texas.gov and there is a link that says get in line online. IF there are slots available, it will tell you what time to arrive. Show up 10 mins prior to your check in time. Be sure to click confirm and get the confirmation text to your phone Otherwise Your Appt Was Not Saved
No
Go online and find your location from there their website. During business hours, a button will show to check in online.
They can come to your house. It was done for my mom. You will have to call and schedule it.
No you need an appointment
You must appear in person.
They are not open on national holidays.
What do I need to bring with me to change my ID
Yes. You will need to bring all matters of paperwork including the papers from Right Start. But my brother did the same thing and it worked out really well.

Like 20-25$
