From a Real Estate Attorney
If the divorce is contested, he will need to call the court administrator for that district court and get a setting. If uncontested he may come up pretty much any morning between 8 and 9 and go before the judge and prove up the divorce. As long as the legal waiting period has passed. On the website for the Denton County District Clerk there is a form that has information for people who are filing their own divorces and it will explain what he needs to do.
Contact a title company and let them do it for you.
Check out texaslawhelp.org. It is the statewide legal aid website for Texas and has information on how to do something like that. You also can find free legal documents that you'll need.
This is not something you should try without help from an attorney. Seek an experienced family law attorney or contact Legal Aid of North Texas.
