So we all clean our apartments when we leave, to get our deposits back correct? Well these guys bring people in to professionally clean. After you leave! And keep your deposits. And they charge you for carpet cleaning even tho there is not one strip of carpet in the whole place!. I'm not happy with this place. And will never rent here again! And hope people see this review and decide to not rent there as well. Thanks again Riverbend apartments for screwing your tenants over after they leave!

UPDATE: Renae is the new manager here and I can see that she is already a huge improvement when compared to the previous management. After being alerted to how disgruntled I was during my move-in month (see past review below), she personally reached out and asked what she could do to make the remainder of my stay more comfortable. I was shocked as I have never encountered a manager as thoughtful as Renae. TL;DR: Riverbend is under an entirely new management team who is thoughtful and considerate! If you are currently a resident and had a poor experience, I would encourage you to reach out to management as they are more than willing to meet you half way. 10 of 10 would renew my stay if my job kept me in the area. ----------- 1. "Maintenance will address the issues in a few days." What they didn't tell you is that it is only a two man team with one still being trained. Their actual turn-around time is ~2 weeks due to "shortages" which you won't know unless you follow up directly with management. Additionally, maintenance does NOT move your items or place a tarp to deter paint splashes.... 2. "Your apartment will be ready by your move-in date." This is NOT the case. I had walked through the apartment the day prior to move-in (only because they told me that it was not ready for viewing a week prior). I had pointed out broken glass, red residue on the walls, dead bugs, a number of holes, dust, popcorn, and a water damaged door. While at the time I was selecting between two different apartments (b/c the original apt did not match the descriptions of what they had originally promised) and could not make a decision until the morning of the move-in date, I did follow up with them as soon as they opened. Yet even though they had 5 hours to at least vacuum the apartment, they didn't. All of the mess was still there. They were not apologetic and did not offer to send a clean up crew or send maintenance to paint the walls at all. In fact, they stated, "well you got back to us so late, soooo..." It was only after I expressed displeasure that they offered a slight discount on the rent and a cleaning service after our move-in. 3. "We inspect all apartments prior to listing them." They don't. I was surprised to find the storage room was littered with holes, feces, and a bird's nest. Their response? "well the nest has not been occupied for months." To my surprise, the birds nest was heavily occupied in the next upcoming week. It was only then that they deemed the problem urgent and fixed it in the next few weeks. 4. "We create community engagement." They've only hosted one handful of events. I have participated in a few where they have suddenly "forgotten about prize disbursement" due to low engagement. TL;DR- - they will cut corners on cleaning and maintenance if you do not document their promises or follow up with them on a regular basis. - tour several apartments and your actual desired apartment a month prior to move-in (do NOT just look at the model apartment because most of the time the "new items" are not actually in the apartments offered to the residents.

The best apartment complex I have ever lived at. The front office staff are amazing and an absolute joy to deal with. The maintenance staff are truly amazing and very prompt when it comes to fixing any issues that arise.

I miss Landon. I'm concerned all accountability left with him. He always answered the phone. He knew everyone's name. Now when you call, good luck. You have no clue who you're leaving a message with due to the very unprofessional nature of the voicemail greeting. The upstairs neighbor smokes pot. Nothing is ever done about it. He throws his cigarette butts and empty cigarette packages on my patio. I've lived here a long Time. I'm considering moving because nothing is being done about the upstairs neighbor.
