I didn't see free parking so we parked in the parking structure and one of us parked by the library at a metered spot. Clean but warm, was a hot day when we went. Officers and staff were polite. Wish there was more help or mapping to show where to find specific rooms. Only saw printed schedule at the metal detector of court info and verbal directions were given but became muddled after the 4th left and right turn 😇 We came here for positive reasons so it may be different from others' perspectives.
Basil!
My case only took 4 minutes. The judge also wished me a happy birthday. This place is awesome!

Most of the staff are unnecessarily rude and impatient. Can’t seem to even answer the simplest questions. Not quite sure what their jobs are for if they don’t seem interested in helping anybody out.

Incredibly biased, unjust, selfish, and unfair.

Contact the court and "request to be put on the calendar at the soonest date. Not Legal Advice, I'm not a lawyer, it's just what I would do. If you have a medical excuse bring it with you. Or any other paperwork to document, why you missed the original court date. If you were working out if state or even just out of the area bring a pay stub.
You just call into the court house and ask to be put on calendar for that reason
You will want to request a copy of the marriage certificate from the records department in Atascadero. There will likely be a fee.
Go see the County Clerk. For a fee they will print out a copy. Same for Marrage Cert, Divorce Decree any official document. Assuming you were married in SLO.
There is a parking structure near by you can park.
They are closed today 2-12 and 2-17. I suggest start with county records for more information.
Great Question, I applaud your effort, to clean up past mistakes, good for you. It's not easy, I doubt the court would even have your bench warrant on file it was so long ago. I would definitely contact a lawyer, and ask a criminal Attorney on how to proceed. I've used WK Gamble and had devastating poor results. He is a personal injury lawyer as well as a criminal. Explain your situation to any honest Law office. They would certainly be able to set something up. They could also explain the statute of limitations to you better than I could. Best of Luck to you. I think a reasonable judge, If you get one, would possibly waive fines and offer community service to make amends for wrongdoings from so long ago, as long as you have been straight and narrow since then.
I think the Death certificate and Will would be in SLO country clerk. The estate should be in Santa Barbara county clerk. Might also check with the lawyer that set up the estate. Good Luck. DISCLAIMER I am not lawyer and this is not legal advise. All of the above is just my educated opinion. Consulatation with a lawyer is always recommended.
There is a payment machine on the end of the isle in the parking lot
I don't think so, but you can put your self on the calender for dates that are missed. it's frowned upon, so better have a valid excuse. Medical excuses are verified as well as "Death" in the family. Beware if you do miss your court date the court will issue a "Bench Warrant". A bench warrant is an arrest warrant that is ordered by a judge against the defendant in a criminal case or a similar proceeding such as for a traffic ticket. A bench warrant is typically issued in the case of a failure to appear for trial, sometimes abbreviated "FTA."( Wiki) I'm not a lawyer and take everything with "a grain of salt" as it is strictly amateur opinion.
YES, Presumably if you were born in Slo County. But you don't have to go to the courthouse, see the County Clerk across the street. For a small fee they will printout an official copy.
how to see my record
