One-stop-shop for all things health, and really professional people. I grew up in SLO so I've been to this location more than a few times. These guys are really efficient in how fast they handle your questions and answers and scheduling vaccinations, scans, etc. My family and I have long-known the secret fact that going to this location was often faster (and cheaper!) than going to our primary care practitioner for such things. Their front desk is really quick to answer the phone and I've only been put on hold in the past year due to... well, the coronavirus of course. Depending on your insurance situation, you may even be able to get all your vaccinations updated in the same day you walk up to their desk, and for free. Ask them first. I also got my TB test, TB Lung X-Rays, and antibiotics all prescribed and given to me from this location nearly 10 years ago.

Honestly, they all need training and re-education. I spoke to 3 different people who couldn't explain why their website says they take medi-cal, cen-cal and medi-care yet they don't take medi-cal and it's for older people? When I explained the difference between the 3 insurances the "manager" was began listing places I should check instead as she was too confused to make the appointment and "policy" says they can't take payments nor can they explain who is and who isn't allowed to get their child's shots. It was crazy this is their job yet they do not know the difference between Medicare and Medi-Cal....I had to slowly explain to her the difference. All in all instead of listening to understand my questions and help with a solution they were busy trying to make excuses that sounded less ridiculous than the one they used before. Any who luckily I record all my conversations that pertain to medical treatments and will be submitting a formal complaint : )

We're hosting a free rapid test event today at Ramona Gardens Park in Grover Beach from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and another event next week in North County. We unfortunately don't have information about which stores in SLO County currently have rapid tests in stock. You can stay posted and find testing information at slopublichealth.org/testing
Yes, we have received a very small allocation (20 doses) of the JYNNEOS vaccine, which provides protection against both smallpox and monkeypox. Following state and national guidance, SLO County’s initial small allocation of vaccine is prioritized for people who have had close contact with someone who tested positive for monkeypox, and for laboratory workers who regularly handle the virus. You can find more info at www.slocounty.ca.gov/monkeypox
You can find local updates and more information about monkeypox at slocounty.ca.gov/monkeypox. From that page, you can also sign up to receive email updates.
Yes, the Public Health Dept provides Shingrix. You can call 805-781-5500 to schedule an appointment.
Thanks for checking. If you test positive, you should notify your close contacts, which means anyone who was within six feet of you for a total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period (even if you both wore masks) during the two days before your symptoms began or before your test. You can find detailed instructions at www.slopublichealth.org/quarantine-iso
We don't know yet when boosters may be available for those under 16. You can sign up at https://www.emergencyslo.org/en/newsletter.aspx to receive vaccine updates by email. Thanks for checking and for helping protect your daughter.
You can call us at 805-781-5500.
Food servers working in SLO County are currently eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. You can learn more and sign up for an appointment here: https://www.recoverslo.org/en/when-and-where-can-you-get-vaccinated.aspx

Once one receives vaccine they sit in a observation tent for 15 with med paramedics on duty. If you have concens you may speak to a person doing screenings to answer questions. I myself have allergies and asthma. They request that I stay in obs tent for 30 min. All went well.
I work for CMC and they did our shots, I would suggest you give Public Heath a call, I believe they can help.
Thanks for checking. We do not carry the tetanus-only (Td) vaccine for adults, only the TDAP. Some local urgent care centers may have the Td vaccine available.
Yes we do by appointments
