My children father never show up to court after being serve twice . He ignore them . All I get is $50 for 2 kids that’s teenagers. The judge was discriminating and I’m seeking a federal lawsuit. I have all his information that I gave to child support unit and they said they can’t find him so where is you guy getting $50 from he works a good job and because he dodging the courts . I get to be punish . So all men who want to avoid paying child support I suggest you don’t answer door when being serve and don’t update your address with the courts . That way the custodial parents get only $50 even if you are a millionaire. So far I’ve been doing my OWN investigation the judge told me I have to get his paystubs that’s the only way she can help. Hello how about subpoena or a warrant for his arrest or take out more so HE can bring his tail to them. I can’t wait to move out of NY state because it laws are so messed up. But oh I can’t because the judge have me ordered to stay in Monroe county for at least 6 years while he haven’t visit my kids in 1.5 years. If you’re black they don’t care about us.

If you are the custodial parent you need to come in and fill out a piece of paper. If you are the non custodial parent you need to go to court
I literally just went through that. You have to go to your local county office and find out what amount you owe on any and all cases you have and then pay that amount. Once Albany receives the payment they will notify DMV and it takes DMV 48 hrs to clear you. It is not a quick process
And New York State no matter what happened you have to pay child support to the child turn 21 years old Only the person that received the child support payment to stop payment before the child turned 21 years old
Try calling them
You can go down to the office and they will give you a local number to call. The 800 number sucks.
No. Not during all this covid stuff
Yes, they don't automatically pull it. Each month Child Support systems put in the request. So if you were doing back pay it will adjust. If there's a glitch they will refund you. Just make sure you call on it.
Yes
You should be able to apply wherever you live
Just come in and fill out an application
You can't talk to anyone directly from the office. You can call the main number, which seems to be a call center, and ask for a call back from someone at the office. I'm not sure you will get a call back though. In order for me to speak to a supervisor I had to go there 4 times and the last time put my request in my. She called me back at exactly 48 business hrs later. Not very helpful at all.
Yes
Nope the only way to get anything done is to go there in person.
It should stop, unless you owe back child support
No you are not unless he is still using his moms address. Then you would have to provide proof. You are obligated until he is 21 as long as he lives at home. Once he moves out you should contact monroe County support unit but you will have to go there. And bring proof.
You can come into the office and ask to speak to an examiner
yes, you can.
In terms of child support, no there is not.
You cant if there is an order there is nothing you can do
What information do I need?
Just call and give them your employers info They do the rest
