Check in time was at 3pm. Arrived at 4:20pm couldn’t check-in. Was able to get two rooms had to wait for the 3rd room to accommodate the request for our group to stay together. Go into the second room it wasn’t cleaned. Was trying to be understanding until I extended the room for one night and found somebody else’s McDonald’s trash in one of the cabinets. Overall the front desk was very nice the house keep were friendly. Rooms just are not cleaned properly.

I reserved two rooms for a wedding weekend. My 84 year-old father was in one room, and my wife and I were in the other. The TV in my Dad's bedroom didn't work properly. The woman from the front desk brought up another remote, but it didn't get any better. She answered a call that she said was from the owner, who approved a discount on the room for the inconvenience. The clerk said that she would put the price change in the system. When we checked out, she had failed to do so. Of course, the attendant on Sunday didn't know anything about it. I send an email to the GM email address on our statement, but did not receive a response. In addition, the mattresses are too soft and the pillows are lumpy. They are the shredded foam type, which we do not like. The breakfast service was OK - they did have hot food instead of the microwave and pre-packaged options some hotels are still providing. I've stayed at Comfort properties across the country. I was very disappointed at the lack of responsiveness and follow-through. We stayed at the other Glen Allen location earlier in the year. I was not impressed with the maintenance and upkeep of that location. When we stay in the Richmond area, we will look for a different brand. Moral of the story - if you receive a promise from this hotel, get it in writing before you get to the check-out date.

Worst hotel experience ever. This hotel is gross. Dingy, dirty. Smells like stale old cigarettes. Yuck food. Peeling mismatched patchy paint. Old carpet. Lumpy beds. It was after 6pm and the lobby had numerous guests waiting for their rooms to be cleaned still. They sent us into an occupied dirty room at first. I think they also over booked their rooms too, because guests who had reservations and were fully paid were being told they can't have the rooms they paid for. The manager made up excuses about how the home address on the ID of the people paying for the room isn't far enough away to qualify to rent a room - which is absurd. So the lobby also had justifiably furious people who were being ripped off in it. They also told us when we checked in that breakfast was from 7-10, when in fact it was from 7-9 most days; so we didn't get breakfast the second day of our stay. This was a rip off and yet also sort of a blessing because the breakfast was horrible. Not sure how it is possible to make waffles taste that bad, but somehow they mananged it. This hotel shouldn't cost more than $50 a night. It really is SO bad. Oh, and it was a record breaking heat wave in the area while we were there and the hotel turned off our air conditioning while we were gone during the day.. They weren't supposed to mess with our room at all. We had a do not disturb sign up. Came back to the room late, went to bed and tossed and turned all night wondering why it was so hot before dragging myself up out of bed in the wee hours to find the AC completely off.

Positive: Right off the highway fantastic access. Well lit large parking lot. Front desk lady was very nice. Breakfast in the morning was very good. The room was large and clean Negative: Both televisions in my room were broke and the lady at the front desk seemed overwhelmed and unable to help me with the situation although she was very nice
