I feel like everyone should walk the bridge, at least, once! It was a great experience! Now that I've walked the bridge, I always view the Ben Franklin bridge differently whenever I drive through it 🙂

As long as it's 5 bucks

Department of D.O.T
Ruben Santos No. The bridge authority closes that part of the bridge when it gets dark. Around 7pm
I'd Google when the sun rises and sets and take your pick. If you walk down to the South Street pier at night the bridge look gorgeous at night, or picture perfect from the Jersey side with the skyline behind. Bundle up, it's really windy on the water. 1. My kid's bus comes at 6.40 and the sun comes up shortly after. 2. 5th & Race
I think to close the bridge it would have to be a very serious storm
The bridge should be open
Yes and the cost depends on how many axles
Yes
Toll Cars $5.00; Trucks over 7,000lbs $7.50/axle; $3.75 per axle (westbound to PA) ( E-ZPass )
Yes.
You may have to contact Delaware River Port Authority for an escort. The only trouble i see you having is with the traffic circle on 6th street. (I'm a driver that crosses the bridge almost daily)
I don't think so
Its closed now and I think the rest of the day
If you have 5 axles it cost $37.50, 6axles cost $45. Hope that helps
Per the drpa.org website 5 axles are 37.50. All tolls collected Westbound only.
There is some parking at the base of the bridge in Camden. Some of the lots are Rutger's college.
Yes. It has been, for decades.
If they reopened the renovated South side YES ! If they are still relying on the North side, then I would say, "Kinda...Not Really. "The North side has about 2 stories of steep steps, then there's a very narrow walkway for about 60 yards, before The Bridge opens up. So its possible (????) , BUT I wouldn't do it.
Yes
The bridge is open 24 hours a day. Unless it's posted it will be closed for a period time in the morning
Anywhere you can find a spot.
Probably NJTransit
$5.00 for passenger cars for a round trip. You only pay when you leave New Jersey
Note: there is construction going on at the Camden side and many of the metered parking spaces are not available. And if you arrive after 8am, most metered spots are taken by Rutgers students.
There was a walk from 745am to 930 and and the bridge was closed
From Wikipedia, "The bridge was dedicated as part of the 1926 Sesquicentennial Exposition, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. From 1926 to 1929, it had the longest single span of any suspension bridge in the world"
