The Elks are an important part of any community anywhere you go around the country. The time and care and support that comes from each individual member is simply amazing in itself. As individuals these members selflessly give themselves to the organisation and the goals they achieve for our communities, they at times barely have a minute for themselves but most of them continue to support the cause and the help they've been to this country is amazing. I hope the Elks here are able to stay in Crescent City for years and years to come, and will survive and persevere through these changing times as members get older, I pray young members come in. Crescent City Elks Lodge #1689 is small incomparison to other lodges around the country, but their heart as a whole is big enough to show that's its not the fancy facility that makes an Elk an Elk, it's how much heart and care and support they give that is what it's all about.
