Holiday Inn Express Nashville Airport

We were super impressed! This "express" hotel was much nicer than many "regular" ones we've stayed in. Excellent service began at the front desk where Dana took great care of us. She was friendly and engaging and super nice. The room was terrific! We couldn't believe how big it is! Our green friends will appreciate the "shared" bottles of shampoo, etc in the tub. A great idea! The breakfast was incredible. A wide selection, including a not too be missed cinnamon roll!!! The dining area was a lodge like room with a central fireplace (and the requisite TV screens.) It also opens onto a patio for al fresco dining. Two other big pluses - free airport shuttle and extended parking. We weren't here long enough to check out the pool and fitness room but they looked nice as well. Super convenient to the airport - less than a mile away! We stayed to catch an early flight but I would stay here any other time! Tell Dana we said hi!

This was a great choice for a stay flying out of Nashville. It is located very close to the airport. We were able to park our car at the hotel and take the shuttle to the airport for a charge of $10 a day. This was great to not have to deal with traffic and parking. The shuttle dropped us off right at the ticket counter for our airline. When we get back, we just call to get picked up and they told us where to go to wait. Very convenient option. Edit - after waiting 45 min for a shuttle back to the hotel, we paid $30 for a cab ride. Probably not the normal situation but it was kind of frustrating as we still had a 3 hour drive ahead of us.

Adequate but I do not recommend. There are several hotels all clustered together. This is probably the worst choice. It is clean and quiet and I rested well. The basics that get it three stars. The free breakfast lacks choices. Housekeeping is necessary for all hotels but I didn’t appreciate having to battle the staff for a spot on the elevator. They didn’t care if the customers got on or not.

The room/bathroom could use updating and more thorough dusting and cleaning. Bathroom wall plug was usable, but was lose and not installed well, clothes hook missing, water stains on ceilings, bathtub drain plug was broken. Beds were comfortable. Our room keys deactivated 3 times during our stay.
