We did four nights of tent camping starting on the Fourth of July. Monday through Wednesday we had the walk-in tent loop totally to ourselves, probably because of the torrential thunderstorms or rain for the first three nights. (As a side endorsement, our new Kodiak canvas tent performed excellently keeping us dry.) Our site, #15, also had a good tent spot on a slight knoll which probably contributed to us staying dry, although the picnic table area and fire ring got pretty muddy. For two of the days we set up our folding chairs and Weber Little Smoky grill in the picnic area on the lake shore near the beach, a perfect spot for idling by the day and reading. Their swimming beach was sandy and had a nice sandy bottom all the way out to the deeps. It reminded me of the lake I grew up on as a kid. We also had Romeo our chiweenie dog with us. He too enjoyed the trip. There were all kinds of boats on the lake, from paddle boards and kayaks to runabouts pulling kids on inner tubes to small pontoon boats. The bathrooms were basic campground style pit toilets, but were clean enough. Things seemed to be well kept and clean.

Large lake with a number of small finger bays. Pontoon boats, can be rented by the hour or day. Many campsites ranging from spacious to tight. Electrical hookup only but do have 30 amp. A few flush toilets but mostly pit latrines. Lots of hiking trails.

You can bring your dog easily to camp and hike with you but there is not an off leash area anywhere. The "dog beach" is a 2 feet wide shore, also not off leash. Bathroom all throughout, most are vaulted. I think only one flush one amongst the campsites. Plenty of picnic areas all throughout the park, only 1 allows dogs/pets. They usually have some kind of presentation or show most Saturday evenings, I was able to attend one about bats. And they do have bats that help manage the bug population but you'll still want bug spray. Jim down by the boat rental area is a cool chill dude who'll help you get on the water with no hassle. Definitely a great place to camp with lots of amenities.

Nice campground. We were here at the end of September. Beach looks nice. But when we were there the water was very, very green. 2 boat ramps. No weeds anywhere so fishing was tough.

If you really need service, get a "burner" with an AT&T SIM card. I use an AT&T MVNO, and the signal was shickingly full strength everywhere in the area.
Yes there is, separate from the 2 boat landings.
We're very responsible people we just like their setback we had a fire and relax we are in an average from 45 to 48 years old
Yes you can. Drive to the top of the hill and keep going straight.
Water will be shut of on October 15th yearly starting this year. That will include flush toilet and shower building
Yes
The damn is at the southeast end, headwaters at the northwest end
No
Actually if you go into argyle..right on main st there is a place that rents tubes and kayaks. You shouldn't have a problem renting. Then you can kayak the river without worrying about getting run down by a speed boat dragging tubes around
Sorry IAM not sure I know the rent motor boats and pontoon boat by half and full day
They have four sites for group camping that allow 25 people each, and one site (204) that allows up to 50.
Yes it is, it is about 5-10 minutes outside of Argyle
E coli is found in all bodies of water, it's the amount of e coli present that may cause a problem.
We were no bothered by any mosquitos. They have a lot of bat houses around.
Yes
Yes, on a leash.
no
Pit toilets throughout though the main bathrooms have flush toilets, and private shower rooms.
There is a treeline between most of the sights. Not so with the group sights. One cannot easily see the sight next to them. You can here conversations though if they are loud between some of the sights.
We have tents and always get electric and water. Love camping there.
You have to get a day pass any way to get there and you have to have your fishing license
Was just out there earlier it's a little cool but my two-year-old didn't care he loved it and we were playing all day
8495 Lake Rd Blanchardville WI. 53516. It is a state park and lake.
You have to go online. I believe it is the WI DNR website to find state camp grounds and their availability for certain dates
The campground at Yellowstone Lake is only open April through November.
You can ride to the park, but not in the park. You can park your machines at the restaurant parking lot and walk in from there.
Yes pets are welcome, and there is also a designated area where dogs can be off leash so they can play in the lake.
