We've stayed here a couple times and it is a nice park. Better firewood options would be an improvement though. The host should be able to sell some for at least some time after the office closes. And do NOT buy wood from the nearby house on 54. It's wet unusable garbage.

Went 4th of July camping here and it was a great experience. We rented two sites across from each other but hung out around 1 fire pit. They had restrooms and showers and access to hiking and bike paths. Even had a dog picnic area which was nice as we were with 3 dogs. The swimming area had a lot of rental options to enjoy the beach or other water activities.

Had a good time with my wife walking around, this is a good state park for single track biking, camping, swimming. There is a nice beach great spot for kids, they have tube rental and those big flat foam island pads. They have a small amphitheater as well.

It was are first time camping here and it is a great State Park, with good trails to hike a nice beach and clear lakes to kayak. The camp sits are awesome tucked right in to the tall pine trees! You are also 5 min away from the Chain O Lakes.

Not bad, they take great care of the grounds. On some of the trails you will run into mosquitoes, also down by the water depending on when you will be down there.
Look up Wisconsin State Parks for rates and campsite availability. Reservations are a good idea at popular parks, although there are some non-reservable sites at most parks that fill up fast on weekends. Usually with no electricity available. I do know the maximum length of stay is 14 days.
It's not at the state park I promise. :-)
Yes, you can get easily down to beach and small pavilion on blacktop. Crossing the sand may be a different story.
The office is open.
I have used it when I had grandkids doing virtual school. Worked great
Awesome...thank you for the quick responses!
Yea
Yes, there is! Upon entrance to the park, drive straight through until you come to the T-shaped intersection. Turn left and continue down, and you will eventually hit a very large parking lot (not the first one you see by the amphitheater). This is the parking for the beach area.
The park itself is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., and you can use the trails during those hours. You'll need a State trail pass.
Leash is required for the most part, it might be more lax on the trails.
The outdoors is your waterpark. Canoeing, fishing, boating, putt putt golf,. Old fashioned fun.
All Wisconsin State Parks have an admission fee. The cost for in state residents is $28 for an annual sticker (good at all parks), $8 for a day pass or $5 for an hour.
