One of our favorite state parks. Great lake life location located not far from I-5 making it a short destination and an easy tow. Plenty of sites with pull through set up and hook ups.

We had a great experience glamping at one of the cabins this past weekend, and the weather was gorgeous (until the day we left of course). The cabin was roomy, close to the river which was nice. Plenty of hiking trails to walk, although some were quite muddy due to the recent snowmelt, and one had a great spot to bring chairs and chill, had we known. Speaking of chill, that's the reason I have to give my review 4 instead of 5 stars. When we got to the cabin, it felt like an ice box. It took several, several hours to get warmed up. Our roommate actually drove 90 minutes to just bring us more blankets to stay warm. It took a good 8-10 hours before it was warm enough. You would think that the park ranger would bump the heat up a few hours before check-in. A dorm fridge would have been nice to have available as well. Other than that, it was a great experience, one of which we will certainly go again, which says a lot.

I spent a snow and icy night here at Ike Kinswa State Park. It was pretty empty, but the majority of spaces had reservation tags on the night of my stay and the following night, which was New Year. I have to assume that because of the snow and ice, people with reservations opted to stay put and not travel to the park, which was probably the right choice! However, the dedicated park ranger fellow was hard at work blading snow with a tractor, prepping spaces and the loop road for guest that again I assume, wouldn't arrive. I think this may be a super popular park though, and it did look idyllic in the snow. I was hard to tell from the circumstances while I was there how well the park was maintained, but the facilities were very clean and smelled fresh with the only distraction to the pleasantness being the cut in to the bathroom partition walls political fervor of certain right-winged individuals that lack the honor and respect to not destroy and deface public property. Ike Kinswa is worth a visit. The lake looked amazing! And the cabins looked a great as well.

A snowy and frozen night at Ike Kinswa State Park Campground. I absolutely enjoyed my stay closing out 2021 in a lovely and picturesque park campground. Only two other people were at the park, but interestingly, almost all the sites had reservation tags on them. The only loop that was open had all but 2 sites with power and water. I don't use power or water in my van as I'm entirely self contained. The space rates were 20$ for regular sites, and 30 for hook-up sites. I paid twenty and left a note on the payment envelope that I had to use a hook-up site because the only two non hook-up sites that were available we're out of reach due.to snow and ice. The ranger was out the next morning with a tractor clearing snow and ice from sites and told me it wasn't a problem at all, that he had seen tracks attempting to get in to the non hook-up area and saw the slipping and sliding tracks. Anyway, he was very kind, polite and amicable, a great set of qualities for a park ranger. This is a beautifully wooded park. There are very nice looking cabins just off the shore of Mayfield Lake. Lovely views. The community toilets were very clean and smelled well taken care of. As we left, we made the loop once again to get a good look at all the sites. I'm my opinion, IKSP is a top-tier state park. As we left, we saw the ranger diligently clearing out spaces for many travelers that probably wouldn't show up due to the weather. I totally recommend Ike Kinswa. 10 of 10!

They have token pay per use showers clean restrooms and rental cabins
Yes! There are a few areas designated for swimming. The most common areas are located to the left of the park as you enter.
8 months in advance no sooner. Good luck
Yes, they're nice, heated, furnished. No linens, kitchen or bedding included. No indoor cooking allowed.
I've seen them just park next to there campsites or cabins
I was there las week and I saw people with dogs. I believe the only requirement is to have them on a leash.
No power in tent sites, but there are hook up sites with power
You have to look it up on the website. It varies.
Check out is at 1pm as it is with all Washington State parks... https://parks.state.wa.us/179/Rules-regulations Or for Ike Kinswa only http://parks.state.wa.us/519/Ike-Kinswa
Open all year. Some sites closed. Fresh water limited to a couple stations.
No bike trails and in May most walking trails were overgrown and small.
They do not, it's a campground, you should be outside enjoying life
I believe the price depends on what type of services you have if you have a tent site with no electricity or one with electricity and water I believe the most would be is 26 bucks a night
