Convenient location based 1/2 block from Penn station and relatively competitive prices given it's in central Manhattan, but... I use Hertz all the time and this location is by far the least organized. You are made to wait outside the door in the cold/heat depending on time of year (there was no line and I was a single renter), and the car is never ready for you despite checking in online and arriving at the correct time which means you waste so much time before your journey even begins. Drop off, there is never any space to park the car so you end up blocking people in and it creates a lot of stress/chaos. Staff are not friendly, apart from one lady (with glasses) who is new and just transferred from another location, and, the service is very slow. If you have choices, then you could have a better experience at another location.

I can do it. Please be careful here because the location is difficult to understand. In the garage building, there is a small entrance along street. Mid-sized cars would be nice. The recommendation is Subaru Legacy type. Running as a rental car 5-6 hours. In Washington I did a sightseeing tour, but finding a place to park my rental car was pretty difficult. Especially everyone went to sleep in the car and I was thinking that the person who came by train was early, but my family liked driving.
