It is always a pleasure to rent a car with Avis. Even in NYC on an early Saturday morning the professionals at West 76th Street are fast, professional and kind -and they listen if you have a problem. And the gentleman running the garage gave great advice and helped several renters become comfortable with their cars.

All was good but he automatic Ezpass charge that was applied for no reason. When I tried to get that back I encounter issues that until now are not resolved. There should be no reason to automatically charge Ezpass toll when it was not used. I pay cash for the Ezpass but still Avis charged me 25.99 dollars for it

We rented a car from the upper west side location on broadway. Car was ready at pick up time (7am) and clean enough. We were offered an option te drive 'tollfree' for 25 dollars. Since we are from abroad we didn't know if we would have tollways on our 3,5 hour trip (one way). The employe said she didn't know either. Honestly I can't imagine that she didn't know, she was just selling us something we weren't going to need. She knew it alright. There were no tollways on our route. So besides trying to get us to upgrade, get more insurance and this toll-offer, the rental experience was fine.
