Rented a vehicle came back this morning to return they let you in but then you can get back out bc they want you to leave the car w/hertz which is at another location🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️It’s now after 6AM and still no one has opened the office what kind of unprofessionalism is this ??!! People have flights to catch!!!

They had a nice air-conditioned van take us from LaGuardia airport to the near by car rental center. Once there, they got me out very fast. And I was very happy with the car they put me in.

Stunningly bad service at a company policy level. We booked a reservation online. When my partner went to collect the vehicle he was asked for a CC to hold a deposit. It wasn’t mentioned anywhere online but it’s pretty standard practice so no biggie. He gives them his only CC (he’s old school and only keeps one for situations like this). Chip malfunction. Repeatedly. OK not a problem; we’ll just swipe the card instead. No. Has to be chip read. …OK. Cool. We’ll just put the deposit on one of my CC’s. Nope. Company policy. Even the deposit CC has to match the reservation name. OK Fine. No problem. We’ll just rebook the whole reservation under my name and use all my cards. NOPE. WE CANT DO THAT. NO CARS AVAILABLE. ….except for the one we were there to pick up….? Nope. Can’t help. System won’t let us do that. No cars available today. Still trying to process the absurdity of it TBH.

It's supposed to open 24 hours a day. We gave the car in the middle of the night
Did you reserve it on line and pay with your credit card? Then go to the location of choice and pay again at counter? If you didn't tell them at the counter you reserved on line you can be charged double. In any event, you can reach out to the company over the phone / or in person have your receipt and they'd give you back your money. It's proof of double dipping and that's not policy n procedure.
It all depends on where you're headed. Try using a toll calculator app. You can plan your route and it'll estimate the potential cost for toll(s). You could set your nav to avoid tolls on your route as an option as well.
Better to call them directly, usually they have sedan cars like Toyota Yaris and Corolla
MOST places won't accept it, and different places have different policies. Fox rental car accepts it.
It's not easy to locate (as the signs are are not prominent) even with the help of Google Maps. You may have to drive around the block to enter the car rental parking lot. So budget extra time.
