They charged ame $15 administration fee for every toll I crossed. The counter person didn't explain this fees to me when I picked up the car. And the customer service department wouldn't do anything about it.

rented from this location for the first time in January 2022. Initially I was pleased because the price was reasonable, Dollar’s loyalty program allows you to add your spouse as a second drive for free, and they gave us an upgrade on our first rental as Dollar Express Rewards Member. However, 3 weeks later I received an addition invoice and 3 data after that i received another copy of an invoice with the same invoice number magically for a higher amount. I was charged a $15 PER TOLL “Convenience” or “Administrative” fee— even Dollar’s website, emails, and terms are inconsistent as to what this actually is. This is despite, when I arrived to pick up my car, specifically inquiring about "PlatePass" knowing that I would be driving the New Jersey Turnpike, a toll road, to Delaware and back. My husband and I had a conversation for several minutes (in fact the longest part of our in-person interaction with Dollar) and specifically requested the service that the manager described as a "daily rate with no fees" because I was aware that without this service there is a ludicrous 'administration fee' per toll. Even after finalizing the rental agreement we asked again to confirm that there was no equipment (e.g. an E Z Pass transponder, etc.) or if we had to do anything to ensure we were not charged any additional fees, to which the manager responded "No, you just drive through and they use the license plate." This is a complete bait and switch after I agreed to the PlatePass program in person. Beware and don’t get duped into paying because a lazy or mal-intended rental location owner decides to screw over their customer.

I showed only my EU German licence. I have a international licence too, but I didn't show it!!! No problem
