I give the 1 point only because the staff was friendly. When we arrived we had to wait 2 hours for a child seat, although this was reserved online. Thus, some visits could not be done. Because of this the refueling with the other route no longer turned out, we returned the car with a quarter less in the tank. As a result, we were charged $40. To demand ten times the normal price I find a cheek, because Avis ruined us in the morning already the day's planning.

Okay service , the fact that they NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE is truly annoying . My contract went over dur because i cannot get through to anyone to extend it. So ridiculous ! Answer your phone !

I was very worried about how pick-up of my rental would go given the multitude of bad reviews for the Avis location on Columbus Ave in the 90’s. This location has better reviews, but not having rented in the city for awhile, I didn’t know what to expect. The woman who greeted me was nice and got the paperwork together. It took slightly longer than I expected to get the car, but it was not a lengthy delay. I appreciate that the woman at the desk didn’t try to push me in into getting all of the extra coverage that is offered. I had already declined this when I did online check-in. When I got the car, the gentleman who assisted me was very friendly and answered all of my questions patiently. He helped guide me out of the garage onto the street where there is always traffic and lots of pedestrians. The car was very clean, cleaner than just about any other rental car I have been in with my family in recent years. That was a pleasant surprise. Can’t say what this location is like when it’s really busy, but I was there on a Friday afternoon, and the process was as smooth as could be. Would definitely rent from here again.

You can set that preference of a pick up and drop off at separate locations when making the reservation. If you're already in possession of the car, you'll have to call avis to make the change. There may be an additional charge.
